Making sure we are on the same page with Cassiopeia

While I know the mage rework is a long ways off, I wanted to not only thank Riot for starting the initial discussion so early, but also to make sure that the community is on the same page as Riot in terms of what needs to happen to Cassiopeia.

I am wondering about Riot's and the boards' current opinions on what she is currently, she should be, as well as making sure that our hesitations regarding reworks are put at ease.

Currently, Cassiopeia is a supposed "Lategame Hyper Carry" Poison Mage.

From what I've experienced, I believe what the community loves about Cassiopeia is the idea of a Poison Mage, and really does want her to be a successful laye game hyper carry. Right now she is not fulfilling either of those things due to her kit.

Her kit right now has a Stacking Passive Minigame, a machinegun E-spam Playstyle, two AoE Groundtargeted DoT Poisons, one of which that does basically no damage, and a Gorgon themed Situational Stun on her ultimate.

Personally, the stacking passive seems to be unanimously understood by both the community amd Riot as somewhat of a chore for Cassiopeia, as well as a reason that she seems handicapped until she reaches not only full stacks but full build as well. The passive does not function well, and I hope that Riot (or the community) has some idea on how to fix it.

The Machine gun E-spam playstyle does not fit her theme as a poison mage. I feel too mich like a poorly designed ADC. I love the Poison amp on Twin Fang that Riot implemented, but I think they could expand on this a bit more.

Her Q as an AoE damage over time poison is fine. I do really like this skill. It overlaps with W a bit too much, and Miasma in its current state is such a boring skill (aside from the growing AoE, which I think is FREAKING COOL).

Her ult is fine (a bit clunky) and I do appreciate the thematic aspect of it.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?How can Riot expand on the theme of Poison Mage?

I would love to see more emphasis on her Q/E Damage Amp combo. Additionally, when expanding on her theme of poison mage, I would rather not see Riot take the simple route and only add more DoTs to her abilities. To me, a 'Poison-mage' is also about making her enemies weaker as well, so a long lasting Debuff might not be a bad thing to look into.

I could type more ideas and thoughts on Cass for much longer, but for now, I would love to open it up to both the community as well as Riot to have a nice, CIVIL discussion on the direction we would love to see Cassiopeia taken with the upcoming Mage Rework.
