Why does lux E + Auto proc thunderlords
seems like a unneccessary amount of poke tbh

autos count towards TLD stack generation, her passive does, and her E does. Riot can't just arbitrarily make some champions' abilities not work with TLD when they otherwise would because of their strong synergy.
That said, I definitely think Thunderlord's needs to have some sort of conditional strength so more emphasis is put onto how you proc it and not how easily you proc it. Maybe if TLD's damage did a portion of the combined three abilities/attacks that generated its stacks it would encourage people to chain high damage abilities together using burst champions and discourage champions who easily proc it with little effort on low damage abilities. Zed landing a double shuriken and his E on you to proc TLD feels more "deserved" than Lux E+AAing you or Morg proccing TLD with only W because each individual tick is a stack.
maybe so on the thunderlords needs to have some sort of conditional....
but since keystones were introduced in league... balance and burst has been harder to achieve i rather them go away

But... that would discourage people from weaving in autos between abilities...
How about like a Zed R? %of the damage you did in 1~2 seconds, starting when you hit them, requiring either a certain amount of damage or a certain number of hits to actually go off.
I'll be honest, I personally don't think auto attacks should even count towards TLD if it's meant for burst oriented casters and combo champions, but I do see your point.
I just think some form of variance is necessary to make TLD more attractive to some champs and less attractive to othes, beyond the mere ability to proc it at all in exchange for raw flat damage.

But, combo champions use a lot of autos... AD ones, anyway. Weaving in autos is an incredibly important skill...

Honestly, it's not about how well they can use TLD, it's usually more about how well they can or can't use other keystones. I mean, this way
wouldn't be able to proc it without exiting from R, which would really hurt her laning.
hmm E for damage, auto for damage and to proc her passive damage = thunderlords proc
Because it's still 3 hits of damage. E + Auto + Passive. Not sure if you're asking why because you think it's an unhealthy interaction or if you actually didn't know why.
I think they chose to allow it because she's a poke laner who has to whittle the enemy down. And post 6 she loses a lot of fights due to having a completely skill shot based kit.
It's the same way that Kennen can proc Thunderlords with his Empowered W auto attack attack and then his W active.
Or even better, once you get Hextech Revolver, if you have your W passive up and he passive from revolver, you just auto attack and get an automatic Thunderlords proc.
So what do you propose? Have some damage sources trigger Thunderlord's and some not? RIP Clarity (1 of the core design values of League of Legends).
Because it's E + auto + illumination proc (her passive) so 3 sources of damage.
