MAGES ARE FINE THIER DAMAGE IS DODGABLE AND THEY HAVE CD, AND THIER AUTOES DO NOT BENEFIT FROM THIER ITEMS LIKE HOW AD CHAMPS AUTOES DO.
Mages cant do shit to you if they missed their skillshots or if they couldn't 1-shot you while Ad champs can miss all their skillshots and still do tons of damage with their autoes.

A 19/2/9 Xerath with that build and stacks should be able to oneshot (and he doesn't as shown by you) any squishy which is even 2 levels behind and most likely without any MR item.
Also consider that I've seen Caitlyn doing 2x that damage with AAs while far less fed and against ppl itemized to counter her.

Mages can easily get enough magic pen to negate most champion's base stats by 12 min into the game. 33 magic pen from just 2600g is wild.
Moonscourge6 votesUntil you learn that you need to spend 450 gold to counter it. A purchase of a Hexdrinker already hard counters any mage, because their combo will now be on cooldown and you still have around 40% HP left to kill them.
