Bogus Bard!?!
Okay so out of sheer curiosity I decided to buy Bard the Bowman... oh wait wrong lore. I spend my spare 6300 in anticipation of a versatile, mobile, and helpful support champion and all of a sudden HE DOES NOTHING. Sure his Q stuns if you hit it right and does damage, but then what else? His W is barely useful, and his E is absolutely atrocious.
When you're in a 2v2 bot lane, you're not going to be using the E unless you've got good synchronization with your team plays, and W has such a high mana cost for such a** low return value** (people barely wait to grab or it forget entirely). His Q doesn't do enough damage for its long cooldown, and in turn becomes an ability that you're waiting to recharge during your 2v2 battle. Yeah, you get to collect the little lantern thingies for some health, mana, experience, move speed, but that requires you to **separate from the Marksman (or AD Carry) early game, in addition to that late game unless you've either apparently built tanky to do nothing but wait for your Q to be up or AP for lord knows what reason, in my opinion I feel it's just not doing enough. Especially compared to other support champions picks, like Sona who can hold her own, Soraka Q and E do damage, Taric who's W E and R do damage, Janna who's Q and W both do damage, Nami who's Q W E AND R ALL do damage with a healing W, need I say more?
Bard just isn't cutting it. Q has a long CD low damage, passive is barely helpful early, mid and late game, W doesn't do much for teamfights, E besides how **fun **it is to use the circumstances don't always pop up, and his ultimate that may or may not help. Even more so both his E and R are double edged swords (bringing mobile enemies through portals [ie zed, xin zhao, diana, yi] and getting stuck with enemies hoping help arrives).
And also the issue with trying to get through portals, sometimes he **doesn't want to fit!
To me Bard seems inefficient and barely helpful, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not seeing any **worth **in him as a playable champion.
