i am fully convinced ADC is the hardest role in the game.

let's not even touch the subject of a shitty support. assuming we dont have a support. or he's just doing a good job, not madlife good job but just like a decent job.

i've tried every role and i have to say ADC is the hardest role. it's hard to cs while under constant pressure from enemy support pokes. most ADC's are squishy af and can get tower dive pre 6. i've gotten dive at lvl 3.

but let's change the scenario, let's say you're pretty big, maybe like 5/0/0. you're dong good, you're ahead in cs lead.....but then guess what? the enemy mid laner and jgler will dive you. and that's all it takes. shit, you can have a zed with a score of 0/3/0 dive you and insta kill you. assassins are the worst because most assassins can dive you without getting a single turret shot, yet you get blown the fuck up. that is all it took, an under fed zed to ult + ignite you, and you're tower is gone, and you already lost your lead.

also a lot of champions have good gap closers, so that's really all it takes, even when i'm in the back line. i get a fiora, who can just ult and kill me without a chance of getting hit, or a master yi, or a leblanc, or a zed. the list goes on and on and on.

but nonetheless, i will keep grinding....practice makes perfect....jk nobody is perfect. but it makes you better.

I think ADC is the hardest mechanically but I think jung is harder in regards to decision making and macro managing the game.

This 100%

the jungle macro managing is ridiculous. Especially with everyone complaining you aren't ganking all 3 lanes simultaneously and taking drag and baron and towers.

Takes a lot of game knowledge and decision making on top of being able to read the map on the fly to be a great jungler (you can be decent without but not great)

Being a good adc requires positioning where you can output optimal damage at minimal risk. And being able to react when situations change instantly. (Front line tank got blown up. Do you focus an enemy since their skills are on cd or do you back off because the risk is too high...) The Micromanage is real with adc.

jungler is much harder, not only do you have to keep your eyes on 5 parts of the map at once or more, the monsters you are facing can kill you depending upon your role and you have to constantly adjust your position while having an uneven flow of experience and gold

was just in a match where both junglers were level 7 while the enemy team was up to 11

this is why junglers like reksai and pantheon are more viable, but I think pantheon makes a better top because of his all in capability, but it's really dependent upon the matchups

overally, I think the list of difficult from least to greatest is Mage, ADC, support, tank, jungler, but tank and jungler are fairly even and dependent upon matchups as well

some people would argue that support is the most difficult role because they have to pay the most attention to their lane and their items, but most supports are point and click while they're at that. Ex: blitzcrank, soraka, thresh, nautilus, sona, chogath, annie, teemo, anivia(good thing riot is reworking her soon I think from another post), janna

pretty much all supports, that's why they have to pay attention elsewhere because their kits are easy to use since they're not supposed to make fancy plays except for thresh and bard

Bard is one of the hardest supports at the moment because that's literally all that he is. he has little damage, little crowd control, small heals, and his scaling passive is leagues behind nasus/veigar/sion. What he can do is allow a tower dive to happen immediately at level 6 though and he allows champs without an escape an escape mechanic

compare bard's chunk damage to someone like soraka. she can easily do 50% of a carry's hp early game in 3-4 spells while healign her carry to full

sona does nearly the same thing with a bit less burst damage/heals and less crowd control

zilean does a very large amount of burst damage for a support and can keep a carry/himself from feeding kills (if he's lucky XD ) (however, I think zilean should keep to his mid-lane role because when he's support you have no heal options and little crowd control unless the enemy gets hit by chance (his bomb's sticky radius is also a little glitchy, but not enough to notice)

now, the list of ADC's goes on and on, but most ADC's are free to move as they please and have a variety of poke abilities or burst abiilties

take draven for example. his range is a little low except for his ultimate, but he has weak crowd control, a move speed steroid, a damage boost, gold increase passive, and a global ultimate

which ADC do you have trouble with? Ashe? she's one of the longest ranged champs and permaslows her victims. Sivir? they really didn't need to nerf her, come on...with W and runaan's hurricane, she can pretty much instantly nuke your entire team, that's why her range is so low

there are too many to list, but in the end, it is your personal opinion

100% agree as I used nothing but adc to carry from bronze 5 to silver 5 and still climbing and it has been a gigantic pain in the ass. Especially when most players at that elo don't understand the concept of peeling for the ADC. I play with my sister on her d5 account and can carry games but yet my silver 5 account I sometimes struggle. I have started games 9-0 and still lost due to complete breakdown and no team coordination in fights resulting in me being instantly dove all the way in the back lines while my team focuses their tank.

Most ADC's have a little built in mobility in their kit for escapes, but some champs like Ashe don't really have any escape abilities. She can try to kite and maybe disengage with her R or W, but really, if you're alone, and an assassin class champ is determined, you don't really have much of a chance to kill them.

Basically there is an entire class of champs that is built for depriving the ADC of their life at any point in the game. There is also a specific item built directly to wreck your world if you get too ahead: item 3075.

Honestly, I think every role is equally difficult since they have to work together and... well, understanding how variables work, I don't think we can qualify any individual role objectively more difficult.

Laning, for instance, has trading and farming. Mid usually roams more, bot controls dragon, and top does what's needed for the team. And all of those have different styles of doing it. Jungling has smite buffs (FYI-if you lane but want to take a camp, take ANYTHING but the chickens. Much easier to gank with the smite buff. IF you must take it as a midlaner, try to leave the big chicken), ganking and clearing paths, objective control, and so on. Supporting is different than adc, since supports either focus on ensuring their carry lives (the carry, unfortunately, cannot ensure a support can live as effectively, except a few like Kalista?) or focusing mapwide on aiding their teammates more than increasing their own power.

Every role is complicated in its own respect. I don't find any value in comparing completely different roles, I just respect them equally.

adc are neither the hardest mechanically, nor strategically.

you will find that in most roles, there are a number of champions that are mechanically difficult or more difficult to pull off than adc in general. what makes adc difficult around silver/bronze is the lack of teamwork. everyone just dives the opposing adc, without peeling for their own, even if their own adc is far ahead.

around plat and upwards, adc becomes one of the easiest roles, as you usually can hide between 2 or 3 supports while doing nothing but kiting back and auto attacking, while dealing a stupid amount of damage. there is an asinine amount of reward for the little risk that is involved by playing adc. youre both the main damage source of your team, and the one who takes turrets and objectives faster than anyone else.

and the hardest strategically is clearly jungle, followed by mid.

Sometimes I right-click so much as the adc that I right-click the enemy's feet and die cause I got in range.

Haha! This^

I'm slowly, slowly starting to get used to the attack command just to avoid this.

Trying to carry a game as an ADC can be incredibly tough depending who is fed on the other team, but overall I still think jungler's have it the worst. Especially at lower elos. Support can be super hard too, but mostly it's just having a little patience and allowing your ADC to set the pace of the lane.
