Has Riot addressed the issue of Yasuo's ban-rate?

Not here to discuss my thoughts/opinions on Yasuo on whether or not he's broken. It just seems irrational that the champion with the highest ingame banrate (63%+) hasn't been reworked already.

There are just as many people banning him because they don't want him on their team as people banning him because they don't want to face him.

I'm both. I always ban him - not because I can't beat him (After being a mage main for 7 seasons and spending all of S3 playing against him in midlane, Yasuo is the easiest champion for me to face) not because he has probably the most toxic kit in game, but because he's just a n n o y i n g. Could be his voice, could be the fact that he's always going "HASEGY" or whatever he says. I just don't like seeing his guts.

Technically it isn’t free, Try gets free crit, he gets couple of current, it also cost him 10% less damage.

It also does no damage, provides no cc and can be walked straight through with no penalty tbf.

I don’t think it should put you in a safe range from tower personally but besides that, meph.

No penalty to be faced? If you're playing a mage/adc your solution to Yasuo's windwall is to walk through it and face him in close range?

As a mage you don’t have that option, however bruisers and juggernauts like Garen and Darius, you just have an ability that does literally nothing and just eats up an entire slot in your kit.

Yasuo's mainly used as a midlaner. Most midlaners rely on range and projectiles. You really think that an ability that negates every ADC and the majority of the mages ingame for 5 seconds (if well placed, of course) is an empty slot?

We are in a season where adcs literally aren’t nessecary anymore and people are so dead set on blindly following a format of what champions to a tee, really? There is nothing stopping you from taking a Garen, or Darius, or any champion not reliant on ranged attacks mid against him.

So, again, your solution is that a champion SHOULD be allowed to counter 75%+ of a class? Because that's logical?

I mean, Teemo and Quinn get to counter every AA based champion, Heim gets to counter every melee one. Certain champions have always hard countered others if not entire classes.

Just because a person's banrate is huge doesn't mean that the champion requires a rework. Banrates for champions can hugely vary from patch to patch as some people get direct / indirect nerfs and buffs through items or straight stats. Even buffing other sets of champs can knock champs like Yasuo down a few pegs. As of the current meta, Yasuo isn't in need of a rework as much as people like Ivern, Kalista, or Kog'maw since they have been dumped out due to patches that nerfed them at their peek performance. Or maybe Riot will just nerf all the high tier champs so the low tiers can actually have an impact idk.

This. Yasuo's ban rate has been among the highest in the roster for years on end, and there have been several instances where he breached the 90% mark. The last time that happened on another champion, which was with Kassadin, Riot immediately gutted him before giving him this utterly slapdash rework in the space of a few weeks, all purely so that he wouldn't be quite so unpleasant to deal with. More generally, champions have been dumpstered in much shorter order for less, including with Zoe just recently: coupled with the fact that Riot routinely attempts to cover up Yasuo's problems by trying to divert attention to his play rate (which is the one thing that fluctuates heavily based on his balance), this suggests there is a deliberate attempt to avoid addressing the issue.

The main problem is that he's such a popular, unique champion that any changes may upset a lot of people. It sucks but I really don't have any constructive ideas for him. To be honest (as a semi-frequent Yasuo player) if they removed his fluidity (dashes and combo game) I probably wouldn't be interested in playing him anymore. I think a lot of people feel the same way.

so he remains banned from draft games and instalock on blind but god forbid anyone change him.... great, just great ....

I didn't say he couldn't be changed. I'm saying the reason he hasn't been is because it's such a sensitive topic and could ruin a lot of income for Riot, as well as ruining the champion for a ton of dedicated players.

we dont know numbers maybe we will be surprised who is hot shit in sales nevertheless there is still problem of absurd banrate so his dedicated players still dont get plays it like have superexpensive chocolate dusted in poison encased in acrylic cube and put on display, you can watch but never touch. And what about others players and their cash? if they eventualy leave yasuo income didnt save riot. he is toxic for too many players for whatever rational or irational reason he need complete rework not just fiddling with numbers, remmember the shitstorm when they announce buff for him.... sorry for english :D
