Because he's boring as fuck despite still being overpowered. Seriously, he keeps one of the highest winrates for junglers and he's banned a ton, but no one actually wants to play him. His pickrate is already low and still dropping like a stone. The only reason he's played is because he's still really strong. Take away raw power (and we will have to take some of it away eventually), and there is nothing interesting worth playing him for.

Check back in 6 months. Skarner will have gotten one nerf and he'll be back to his coveted bottom-5 pickrate. I suppose we could wait until then to start discussing the next rework, but I've never been a fan of procrastinating. The sooner the better as far as I'm concerned.

Riot needs to make him more fun.

They spent all that time making the dumb vision buff mini game, he just needed a movement spell that is more fun to use. His autoattack/skill reset stuff is too generic, it's near identical to Hecarim but he doesn't get to leap all over the place.

There are countless options when you rework a champ, and they went straight for "keep the toxic ult, leave his kit extremely binary and boring."

i fkin agree. Skarner needs first fully visual/gameplay rework to get his lore man, Riot kept nerfing him nonstop... seriously that's unfair for skarner users
