I'm still missing the context for the nautilus nerfs.

I don't get why he's getting these nerfs, especially why it's both together. He is the only tank I've seen been picked in lcs consistently, the rest have all been fighters. Poppy isn't played much anymore, Maokai isn't played much anymore, pretty much no other tank is played at all except Shen. And all the other tanks have low win rates, especially as of the spring playoffs. So why is it that the only tank that is picked consistently, that isn't Shen, is getting nerfed? And why so hard?

This is why. If the pros are picking him consistently, it's because he's powerful. They tend to only pick OPs.

Why is Lee Sin not getting nerfed?

Didnt you ever learn not to pick on the disabled

Because even I, Bronze scrub that I am, am able to predict his movements and avoid his "super high OMG" damage. Basic dodging lets you avoid his Q, and paying attention to him warding and pressing W, so that you can avoid point-blank skillshots, are enough to make him powerless.

Context: LCS

thats about it

Riot wants as much variety as possible for good ratings. So if Nautilus is being played a lot, nerf him so he isn't played anymore. Problem solved.

Not disagreeing, but whenever I hear about variety as an explanation for LCS changes, I think of Lee Sin laughing.
