Getting my butt kicked at lv30

So this may or may not be a common request..

Basically, I got to lv30 by playing mostly bot games. There's just too much negativity and toxicity in queue.. I'd say I have to mute someone nearly every game in queue, and report every other.

Problem is, there's no middle ground in difficulty between intermediate bots and solo queue. Bots can be steamrolled easily, where I'm on a absolutely hilarious losing streak in queue.

I did some digging, and apparently the matchmaking system tries to put you together with people of the same general level?

That would be my problem. I've got a level 30,** but I absolutely do not deserve that level**. As it stands.. the game is not fun anymore. No matter the team comp, no matter how friendly my team is and how honorable the enemy team is, I'm still getting absolutely roflstomped game after game. It's to the point where I don't want to play anymore.

So.. the question is - is it possible to get my level reset? I'm done with bots, I know I can beat them every single game without fail.. I want to learn to play against real people now. And stand a greater than 5% chance of winning a match :)

You can't get your level reset, you might as well make a new account if that's what you're after.

I personally went through that same hell after I hit 30 since I basically only played vs bots. It sucks when you first start out at PvP. But you won't get better if you don't keep trying and learning. You are matched with people not only of similar level, but of similar skill. If you keep losing, the players' skill should go down and it may become easier as you reach your true skill level.

Ah - I didn't know that. So it's possible if I keep getting trounced, that I'll eventually wind up in a happy medium matchmaking-wise?

..I'm guessing in typical Riot-social-engineering fashion, there's no way to see how good the system thinks I am?

Eventually, yes. That's what I experienced. It takes a while though....

You can use websites like Lolking.net or op.gg (for example, your profile at http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=Karunamon) ... to get a general idea of who you're being matched with (based on their ranked tier). It's not always 100% up-to-date, though.

Bots need to be removed, theyre a joke and teach nothing about league other than tower ranges

turn off all chat. mute allies that are asses. And the biggest tip I can give you: learn.

This game is all about learning and adapting. learn what a champion is capable of, and how you should play against it.

Done and done (thank gods for the quick mute button on tab).

Learning isn't the problem.. learning to seemingly no benefit is. I don't even stand a ghost of a chance with the folks I'm getting matched with.

What I'm saying is, I am bad at this game, I know I'm bad at this game, I probably shouldn't be getting matched with people who are significantly better every game. It makes their, and my life miserable.

I know the feel, you could try to find a league group/discord chat and see if people will do customs with you so you can get a hand of the game and people can teach you from both sides.

When i first joined we used to do 1v2's and 5v5 and they would teach me the basics and what to do. So that way it doesnt feel so bad.

I had the same kind of problem whenever I was getting to level 30.

My suggestion is to try doing ARAMs for a while to get better acquainted with champions and how people use them in teamfights. It wont necessarily teach you many rift tactics but it might help you get mechanics vs players a little better.

Plus I tend to find ARAMs to have less pressure since not everyone will know how to play what they get.

I had also a loosing streak after hitting level 30 and I played almost no bot game after level 12.

You just have to play those games, because your opponents get weaker with every loose.
