Autofill SEEMS like a good idea in theory, but it could not be crappier

So a few times I've been autofilled as support. I personally don't have a problem with this. I don't play support in normals or even want to play it in ranked but I know how to play the role and have champions to play it with. However, most people don't. I've had quite a few people who don't know what they're doing and say "well gg I was autofilled support". Then they act like that gives them the right to feed, troll, and just throw all game knowledge out the window. I'd rather wait 10 minutes for a game NO ONE AUTOFILLS than for a game where you get autofilled. I can understand autofill to a degree at Master-Challenger. But even then I think it's stupid.
