Veigar: "You fell right into my trap!" Rework Suggestion

I've played Veigar a bit after his rework. He's... interesting. I understand Riot's reasoning for adding the delay on Event Horizon, but I do feel like the rest of his kit is underwhelming. Or at least incredibly frustrating to play with, especially vs. mobile champions.

So here's my proposed rework, or at least adding onto Riot's work.

GOALS OF PROPOSED REWORK

  1. Event Horizon is meant to trap someone inside it's walls. Not stun someone. Being able to dash and teleport out of it are intended weaknesses, much like Jarvan's ult.
  2. Keep 100-0ing someone, but make it reliant on Veigar doing something with clear counterplay(like dodge skillshot).
  3. Reduce his mid-late game burst potential when ahead(100-0ing someone should mean you either won the game or enemy made a mistake), while increasing his kill potential while behind.

Passive: No Changes His passive is fine, I think.

Q: No Changes(for now) His Q is mostly fine. The interplay with the passive is core to his AP farming minigame. Farm AP, become awesome mid-late game, like Nasus but far more interesting with lining up double-hits. If he has too much trouble early game, tweaks should be to it's mana costs I think. Mana cost lets him farm more with his Q, especially when zoned out.

W: Veigar calls a great mass of dark matter to fall from the sky to the target location, that falls after a 2 second delay dealing XXX+(60% AP) damage. After a 0.5 second delay, Dark Matter gains up to 100% bonus damage over a second and can attach to an enemy champion. Attaching to an enemy champion stops the charging, but the dark matter will land on the target instead of the cast location.

Changes bolded. I probably lost a lot of people here but: A lot of the use right now, for Dark Matter, is zoning people. Or following up an allies CC. This nerfs following up ally CC, but greatly boosts the zoning potential AND increases the damage. Think of it like a fizz fish which scales in damage the longer someone doesn't pick it up. Yes, the AP ratio scales as well, so an enemy walking into it after 1.5 seconds gets smacked by a 120% AP scaling ability.

E: After a 0.75 second delay, Veigar twists the edges of space around the 375-radius target for 3 seconds, stunning enemies who pass through the perimeter for a short duration. If Veigar hits an enemy trapped inside of Event Horizon with any ability, Veigar's next spellhit on that target deals XXX+(60% AP) bonus damage. This can only happen once per enemy per cast.

Veigar's 100-0 potential. Of note is that someone who got stunned by Event Horizon SHOULD NOT proc this new ability. This is specifically meant to make Veigar have fun playing and toying with enemies inside of Event Horizon, instead of always with the edge stun. Along with the new W, this is one of two ways that he should be able to 100-0 someone, unless incredibly fed or incredibly late game.

R: Blasts an enemy champion, dealing 30/35/40%(+2% per 100 AP) of a target's current health, plus 60% of the target's AP and 30% of the target's AD.

100-0 potential, and current health damage was never thought about? This, specifically, deals an INCREDIBLY MASSIVE CHUNK of almost any enemies HP. On a long cooldown, and requiring followup from one of his other skillshotted abilities. It can be tuned to other values, but the intent is that it should deal massive damage to a 100% health target, without instantly killing someone who's a little less than full. Also, scaling against ADs too instead of only APs, I guess.

INTENDED PLAYSTYLE: Farm with Baleful Strike/Q. Bait and zone people with W/Dark Matter, make them terrified of walking into bushes without vision. Use E/Event Horizon to trap people, try and get the double-skillshot combo off, zone them even harder with the new Dark Matter inside of Event Horizon, or burn your cooldowns to go for an R/Primordial Blast + Q or W 0-100 combo inside of Event Horizon. Or Primordial Blast a sucker who just walked into your charged Dark Matter and is about to get supermeteored.

COUNTERPLAY: When Veigar casts Event Horizon on you, get out of event horizon or burn flash/other cooldowns to get out. If caught, dodge one skillshot, or two skillshots if his Primordial Burst is on cooldown, or walk out and get stunned. Either avoid his dark matter drops and get zoned out, or walk over it ASAP and take the smaller damage. Harass him frequently and make it difficult for him to get the AP stacks from his Q.

final tl;dr: Suggested changes to Veigar's W/E/R to followup on Riot's 5.4 veigar changes.

Thoughts? Open to all feedback, and will try and follow this up for a while. Edits based on feedback will be noted in the original post.
