All blinds(including teemo) should be replaced with this new 'blind'

NullDragon··81 votes·5,070 views

Quinn's new 'blind'? Awesome. Can we have this for all blinds?

This would fit Teemo a lot too, and the counterplay for it is really interesting(get near them). It also makes teemo about the same vs. other ranged champions, but melee champions are better vs. him. Also: DID HE STEALTH IN THE BUSH OR KEPT RUNNING AWAY! YOU DON'T KNOOOOOOW CAUSE YOU BLIND

A 'blind' on shrooms as well would be funny, but probably OP without a lot of other changes. Lets stick with the new blind on Q to begin with. I love how it's literally a 'blind' gameplay-wise as well, as you literally can't see everything. And it's not unique to Quinn right now anyway, as both Nocturne and Graves already have this new 'blind'.

tl;dr: Teemo blind should disconnect allied vision and reduce vision range to 300 like Quinn's new Q, because it seems much more fun to play against and much better thematically.

Yeah, a Blind shouldn't be a "Oh, now you can't hit something with your fist but you can hit them with magic just fine". It should, I don't know, take away your freaking vision.

Teemo is literally the only champion left that has Blind, there is no "all blinds" anymore. In fact it was only Quinn and Teemo before pre-season.

Shows how much you know about the game.

What the fk are you talking about?

Riot - We listened to the community for once and deem lee sin was too strong so here's a nerf

LeeSin Vision range: 1200 ----> 300

heimer also had one pre-rework. The more you know.

His statement is no less true, since Heimerdinger was not reworked at the preseason.

K but why must you be such a gigantic dick about it instead of just telling him that first part?

Penta Penguin1 votes

My bad for the insult, but Teemo gets shit on constantly in this community mostly due to lack of understanding

Llanite10 votes

Teemo is already underpowered, the only place he can go is top, against very specific match-up (melee AD).

Removing blind would kill his only niche.

Hinagiku332 votes

Well if he didn't oppress AD melee champs so damn badly...

...maybe he wouldn't have to suck so much?

Llanite1 votes

He was created in 2008, to be an AP mid, getting only nerfs that makes him less and less viable at other lane, to the sad state that we have now.

Jeddy0172 votes

Well,I mean Riot could,you know,give him a thing called a REWORK.

Auz the Ripper4 votes

Yes, but removing his current blind would free up a lot of power for his kit and make him much less oppressive, so more safety could be pumped back in; Something like increasing his Attack range to 550 and/or buffs to the shrooms

Phoenix Kotori 2 votes

Removing blind would kill his only niche.

Or it would allow them to buff him, because it's better gameplay wise.

Penta Penguin1 votes

No, I play him Mid lane all the time. What allows that is Q damage when you max it first. It does deal a lot of damage. Plus being stationed in the middle of the map is great for the shroom-game

LadyRenly7 votes

No, it's not a good idea. Teemo dies easily

............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. sigh, rip quinn

EDIT: PLZ dont let riotrepetoir know that teemo has blind... i fear he might get reworked with a screwed blind and have a new ult:

bump shroom: that has 2 secs channel and let him have 500 mov speed, he goes bumping where he wants (tough its hard to control) and when he decides to stop the ultimate he drops a harmless shroom that works as a ward debris

TDubH2 votes

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA have you even PLAYED quinn? it is one of the most annoying lane match ups, true damage modifiers, a slow, if you're ranged and she hits her q its almost impossible to win a duel, she fares incredibly well in having ganks because of this blind she has a free pass anywhere, she gets to lane twice as fast as any other adc hard to bully out of lane has good vision control and has good scaling, she is a fucking pain in the ass.

Valor Bot2 votes

Quinn does not have true damage modifiers.

TDubH2 votes

Odd, last time i played against her, her proccing her passive applied a true-damage DoT, incorrrect phrasing though, anyway so i am still wrong there, though, i should've said "true-damage effect" but it could've been something that was dropped - i was playing on PBE.

Valor Bot2 votes

That was probably red buff.

TDubH1 votes

Just a normality, ADC's don't go across the map to get red-buff within the first 6 minutes of the game, additionally it takes longer than recall and run back to lane, as well as neither jungler had ganked.

Basically i'm fairly certain that the DOT effect with the harrier passive symbol on it saying "this is dealing X true damage over time" was in fact part of Quinns kit and NOT red-buff... additionally it was PBE and it was probably an experimental change that may never have shipped or been noted, or it just is sitting there randomly.

JackMcSnipeyz4 votes

No, the problem with old quinn's blind was that she was also a ranged adc, that is a nasty combination. Teemo's only tool to retaliate against people just going all in on him is his blind that helps him trade.

shalexade3 votes

Isn't Teemo's niche that he is strong against melee tops?

Thus nerfing him against Melee is a flat Teemo nerf?

Thematically, I think this would be a fun direction to take, though they would need to do something to make him remain viable

whensmarvel1 votes

There are only a few matchups that Teemo actually wins and even then once they have 1 complete item he can't trade with them

Westonbirt3 votes

It's not as much "Quinn's" as "Graves'" originally.

Nocturne

Westonbirt1 votes

Right. I didn't even realize he'd been released before.

SrirachaLimes3 votes

I don't think that this would be good for Teemo. It would make him weaker in the top lane tbh, and he's already not that good. Yeah, he's super annoying in lane, but it's not like he's very strong right now. I feel like this would hurt Teemo more than benefit him.

FakeGravity2 votes

Is all a small and stedy move to remove them just like GW on champions miss fortune loss hers fizz loss his watch varus loss it soon

gasmask8661 votes

shouldnt teemos blind come in after a second delay? let me explain, teemo is all about that DOT and it might fit in better lore/thematically might so after one auto you get blinded in your idea i havent read the champion update/ideas so how wrong am i?

NotClarkolas1 votes

As a master yi main I approve of this change

Abyssphere1 votes

I think this would be a great change for Teemo, but I imagine it'd require some more follow up. Teemo's kit is pretty awful just because he has constant targeted harass + the blind to make trading back difficult. Take away his only form of real defence (the new "blind", while strong in its own right, would not be reliable) and I imagine his kit just wouldn't function anymore.

CoolKnightST3 votes

Well we could allow him to bounce off a shroom when his W is activated. Could be a nice combo where the enemy is blinded & teemo litterly jumps over them. They have no idea

Unlucky Number71 votes

like this idea. maybe he should ad more interactivity with his shrooms. what if his q had a different effect if you cast it on a shroom? ie if you cast it on a shroom you pull yourself toward it.

or have the shrooms customizable like gangplanks ult? one upgrade would be self propogating shrooms, increased damage/slow/area. a special shroom every so often like corki's ult. or a special shroom after a a time on the map like corki's w.

CoolKnightST1 votes

I don't think we need another J4. Copying GP or Corki isn't a good idea.

If Teemo bounces on the shroom the shroom donate (maybe even let it increase the donate radius). So you get a sort of burst combo.

Teemo's role in the top lane has been to deny farm by blinding the enemy champion whenever they go for a minion, and by zoning melee champions. He will not be able to deny them farm by blinding; and if he gets jumped on he's also screwed. He will have near zero trading potential against many champions he once countered, or at least had a chance to lane against. If he gets the new blind he needs a real escape and/or a cc removal on his W for whenever the enemy gets too close to him; else they will pop him.

Close but far off.

One of Teemo's TRICKS has been blinding when they go for a minion. Teemo's ROLE is something else. When laning, he needs to be oppressive, constantly poking, and avoiding high HP all-ins.

During mid-late game, Teemo needs to place many shrooms in high profile areas securing objectives as well as blinding high damage targets during team fights. Personally, during teamfights I will very frequently flash-Q-aa-ignite the enemy ADC just to severly reduce their overall damage. Depends on the situation of course.

Coming from: A Teemo main.

Being oppressive is hardly a way to play teemo anymore, since you have more hard matchups than easy ones these days. Watching Ivan play, he always safe farms and pokes only when he can get free damage because he knows the enemy jungler is there waiting. The same applies for Manco.

During mid-late game you can't rely on shrooms because of the new sweepers and the 2 bugs that riot did not care enough to fix. Coming from: Another Teemo main.

Yeah I agree life is rough now. Those damn trinkets are killing me esp when I pay mid teemo.

But still I play in Silv-Gold land so I can safely poke and as long as I'm warded I usually don't give the jungler kills. Besides, in my ELO people severely underestimate the power of a few pokes and then flash>>aa>>Q>>aa>>ignite.

Teemo's blind should stay as is. And please fix his traps (Deathfire Touch, Items effects, dead wards...) before changing him.

There's already more "counterplay" for blinds than there is for silences. Mages for equal treatment!

MegaShroom90001 votes

The blind ONLY counters aa champs. He is toast against ability casters/bursters, cc, and gap closers. Just because his blind counters a SINGLE target aa for a short period of time, doesn’t make it op. Jax and Vlad have a similar mechanism, except it can counter the ENTIRE team’s aa against them. Many champs have a form of complete damage mitigation for a small period of time.

Valor Bot1 votes

I think they've stated they want him to keep his current iteration of the blind, as it is his only defense tool---apparently, it was problematic on Quinn because she had both the blind and Vault to reposition herself mid fight, as well as her ultimate to force engagements.

They also said they wouldn't hesitate to put a blind on a new Champion if it fit thematically.

Vikíng1 votes

Only if you make Teemo's Q a skillshot. Otherwise, that is basically a perma blind.

I have an idea for Teemo's ult:

When someone steps on it, have the screen go all wavy and start flashing rainbow colors. Hipster music would start playing in the background and there is a 40% chance that you will go a different direction than you intend to walk when you click to move.

Being high is fun, he said. Being high isn't dangerous, he said.

As long as you make it AOE and buff him elsewhere, sure. The blind Quinn has IS less powerful than teemo's, and is only comprable because it has longer range and an aoe.
