Why is Blitzcrank in the game?

I'm tired of Blitz Blitzcrank for 3 season now, it doesn't matter how much i practice AD or how many skill shots i dodge, it doesn't matter if the blitz missed 25 hooks all lane, because that 1 time he lands it with that BS I-blitz skin, that i would argue the Q didn't even land half the time, but the skin makes it hard to tell, he lands 1 hook and i always lose. Seriously this is what decides my lane every Blitz game, even if i dodge all hooks if nami Nami gets hooked once, draven snowballs my lane from it, it's really frustrating because we already have Thresh....Thresh is cool, why do we need blitz?

When Thresh goes in he has to put himself in actual danger, this would make sense if thresh was supper tanky and Blitz was not, but Blitz is also tanky and deals A LOT of damage with his ult. I'm playing this game were im already getting camped by an Evelynn that i can't see half the time, and even staying under the fucking turret doesn't work cause blitz can just keep throwing hooks, and it doesn't even matter if he keeps missing them repeatedly, the one time he lands it will be an insta free kill. im sick of this game, i feel like a support is always what decides my lane, rarely the enemy AD. I feel like the ADC role has just grown so frustrating, we have no impact all game and seem to rely on our support for everything now... Last season i was doing great, 800k+ mastery points on Vayne apparently now makes me bad, cause for some reason i can't win games now that i actually have the experience, doesn't do anything for me, i still lose in the end because of the same things, either a heavy cc engage Leona Malphite or a Blitz hook. And before someone tells me he isn't good in the pro scene, 1 - idc the game shouldn't be balanced just based on the pro scene and 2 - that's not true because i have seen him in high elo play and in the LCS, the Balista combo won CLG that game, so it does happen and pros do ge hooked to.

I understand that he can't hit hooks through minions, but that's not even the problem, it's the pressure that just having a blitz in your lane causes, to start, if the enemy has a blitz i feel like my game is coin toss, i just kind of die inside and feel like not playing the game before it even loads. then, just by this thing being in the lane, i have to position and farm in a very odd/particular way, to avoid hooks, causing me to lose cs and often just get poked more often by the enemy AD, and if the claw machine sees space between the creep wave, i could get hooked across the wave, while they move. The realiable method i have found is to Q with a morgana main Morgana, but 1 - that's not reliable and 2 - why do i need to always depend on my sup to do well man, that makes this game boring, i feel like in general this season my role as an ADC has been "second support or "siege equipment", i don't cary anything or deal significant damage till so late in the game, i might as well mid and jg, which i have been WAY more successful at with 1/10th of the practice, gee i wonder why. I just really like playing AD and i want to make it work, it just feels so weak and impossible though if you don't play an early game AD, late game AD's don't see the light ever.

  1. all of blitz's power is basically located in 1 ability, with all his other abilities more or less being reliant on hitting the hook. Because his other abilities are fairly weak, it justifies having a lot of power.

  2. His hook has a delay making it possible to dodge and is also heavily telegraphed by how he is moving (or when he activates w).

  3. Counterplay exists to blitz hook beyond dodging it. For example, hiding behind minions.

4)Blitz is a one trick pony which puts him at a disadvantage. He can literally do one thing, and that is hook people. This makes blitz a very weak champ from behind as he can't really help kite, or peel so much.

  1. there exists plenty of counters in champion kits to blitz hook. Sivir shield, morg binding, ezreal phase shift, tristana jump. Those are just direct counters, not to mention the various dashes that make dodging the hook pretty easy.

  2. Blitz hook has the power to backfire heavily, often making it high risk high reward. For example hooking the swain or braum into your team. There is no going back with a blitz hook like a thresh hook (where he has the option to go in or not)

  3. Blitz, although he is not a very dynamic champion, is still very fun to play and many players enjoy his ability to make big plays style. Not every champion is meant to be a bastion of balance and are instead meant to be fun (like shaco, or tryndamere). Not that I think blitz is unbalanced, but he definitely falls into the "fun" not the "competitive" category.

I'm in the needs a rework camp for blitz on this one. He has clear strengths and weaknesses but they aren't fun ones for either side. Usually the biggest weakness is mobility ( which you can still get unlucky with) or getting late game. If you have a team that can just ignore blitz later and charge in head first great! If he last picked because blitz wasn't banned or something and you didn't expect blitz( which is weird because he has a high pick rate when not banned if I recall) you could be in for a big world of hurt all game. He does seem to be a bit on the high damage side early game especially since he is still kinda tanky.

so again no delete but maybe a rework is in order to make him more fun to play as/against. people always complain that sona is oppressive so she gets changed why are other champs immune to this?
