Can someone explain to me why...

...you gain LP by winning a ranked game or losing a ranked game but not by how YOU played that game? Basically the grading system (S-, C, B etc) Gaining or losing LP based on how you played that game seems more reasonable to me since even if you go good and your teammates don't you can still lose the game since you're so dependent on your teammates. I really don't understand why you gain/lose LP by winning/losing a game instead of gaining/losing LP based on your performance. Thanks for the explanation in advance.

Because this is a team game most of all, and the only goal is to kill the nexus, all the rest are just statistics.

Second of all, because the grading system is flawed and limited to statistics. I can get an S all day long by CSing everything with tryndamere, gonig 0/0/0 and not helping my team win the game whatsoever. Basing it on grades would get people to play for KDA, not going for plays to turn the game around.

Makes sense thanks for the comment. It's kinda funny but i somehow forgot that this game is a team game kek probably because of all the salt and toxicity etc.

The grading system is just as flawed as the ranking system. It wouldn't work. You can go 12-0-4 but if your CS isn't there you only get an A+. Supports can get 0/0/7893884333225799637 in 25minutes but if your cs isn't there you only get an A+ at best. It may help at best to include it in LP gain but it would have to be experimented with first.

because "how you played the game" is not measured well at all and the grading system gives results that are not well tied to your contribution to the winning of the team.
