Something unmentioned after the tank update.
Due to the increased amount of resists, decreased amounts of hp and the efficiency of life steal items going up, lifesteal and champions who use lifesteal become much better at tanking in team fights than health and resists and the champions who use those.
The only reason this isn't explored more is because the efficiency of a single item, gargoyle stoneplate, negates this for four seconds.
I don't like the idea of gargoyle stone plate to begin with because of how much power it drains from tanks in general, despite how good it looks on paper, as the majority of the time people will just be able to ignore you while it is active due to cooldowns and such.
But back on topic. Because of the buffing of life steal and nerfing of health, most champions who build life steal become tankier than those who build full tank. This is due to resistances making base health more effective health, and lifesteal replenishing that effective health much faster than regen all while being in combat.
This may be a reason why tanks to some players (including myself) feel significantly worse to play post update as opposed to pre update. Champions like Renekton, Kled, and illaoi become better at tanking than the "tackiest champions in the game" all while being allowed to still do damage.
Whether or not this is a problem for the game i cannot say, but I can say that it is true that lifesteal is better than health now.
TL;DR: Life steal is a better tank stat now than health when paired with resistances which may or may not explain why some tanks don't feel great to play right now.
will just keep crying in a corner :(
