Can you stop giving late game champions so much safety and ease in the early game??

Like tell me what is the fucking point of picking an early game champion like Pantheon, Kled, Renekton or Lucian, when I can just pick someone like Jax, Nasus, Fiora or Vayne, still be just as strong as them in the laning phase and still outscale them later on.

Nasus comes online after level 6 with the fucking bullshit 50%CDR Q mechanic bullshit. Let's give Nasus free 12% lifesteal so he can outtrade your champion from level 1 and heal up everything. Fiora just pokes your vitals over and over again because let's make her most spammable ability 20 mana at rank 1 so she doesn't face mana problems.

In other games, late game champions need to struggle through the lane phase and mid game to build up their items to become strong in the late game, but not in League of Legends. In League of Legends, late game champions are just as strong as early game champions.

Lower Nasus lifesteal but make it ramp up a lot at level 13. Lower Nasus lifesteal to 0%/8%/26%. Increase Fiora Q mana costs at lower ranks but decrease it at higher ranks to 60/50/40/30/20 mana. Lower Fiora Q CD refund at lower ranks to 30/35/40/50/60%. Vayne needs her Q CD refund on ultimate removed. Make Vayne W an active, her next three basic attacks apply Silver Bolts. Hitting three stacks on Silver Bolts on the same target will deal bonus True Damage. 1.5s Cooldown.

hes not wrong...

If pantheon goes damage he dies really easily late game with no escapes - and with the massive AS an ADC can get late game his passive becomes useless. If he goes bruiser he dies almost as easily without doing as much damage. If he goes tanky with 2 damage items hes just a stun bot.

Renekton also doesn't deal enough damage without 3-4 damage items to be relevant lategame, and is too squishy otherwise.

Nasus can just build TF and stack and full tank - true he can be CCd and focused - but that applies to anyone who isnt a Viking.

Jax also scales really hard and can build straight health and damage and use R for resistances to be mobile, have that aoe stun + dodge (up frequently with SoJ), chase, escape with ward q, and a shit ton of damage.

Meanwhile neither has a weak early game - it is quite hard to actually poke nasus down. With new runes, almost nobody has a weak early game, but there are still champs like vayne, nasus, tryn, and jax who are absolutely nightmares in late game. And theyve gone and buffed 3 of these quite hard for some reason - nasus stacking mechanics and 50% CDR q while ulted, vayne ult, and now tryn gets 50% crit I believe on full rage bar. Doesn't make sense.

I guess something can be said for games not actually making it to late game frequently any more - but all these champs are overturned mid game as well.

But you know that Nasus isn't a lategame champ right? His winrate goes DOWN on +40 games.

And you know why? Because on lategame he's too kiteable and the enemy team is going to have more often than not an adc at full build or near that with a bit of help can melt the Nasus before he catch her.

You can do that yourself by improving your intent, mouse speed and precision, game knowledge, trading stance, general laning and decision making. You won't catch apdo complaining about how incredibly safe the late game champs are because they really aren't, they're just safe against you.

As somebody who mains a couple of late game champs I can’t agree with this more lol. If you have a problem with a late game champ (nasus for example) then the problem is with you. learn how to play against that champ in any phase of the game, in whatever role you are in and whatever champ you are playing.

One good counter champ pick is to get your Vayne ADC fed as fuck so the enemy nasus literally cannot do anything against her. Or you play Yi and scale up so you can beat Nasus at his own game, which is scaling to the mid/late game.

But honestly withthe rework Kayle you shouldn’t have a problem against her early, they designed her to be so shit early that you would have to be extremely bad or really unlucky to lose the lane by a very large margin.

(Btw I wasn’t saying you as in I’m talking to Brony, I was saying a generalized you to the other people reading, so Brony this wasn’t exactly directed at you)

https://lolalytics.com/ranked/worldwide/platinum/plus/champion/Fiora/ Fiora with so much safety on early as you say

And saying "why pick Lucian" when he has been for months the best adc and even if he lost that title on the last patchs he's still a meta pick is beyond ridiculous.

Lucian still falls off late game if he hasn't snowballed.

Sir Saltarin1 votes

So?

He's busted on early and midgame and falls on lategame that's the point of his champ, and while doing that he's still a strong pick.

What's your point?

Saianna1 votes

Maybe his example wasn't the best, but lategame champs got early game experience alot easier nowadays.

Weiner the Pooh1 votes

Its a whole 46% from 15 to 25 minutes, how is that not super busted? Clearly her early game needs to be nerfed and make her completely unable to fight.

Lol whats the point if they buff late game champs to be good early, they only become all game champs. Seriously do they think about these buffs and nerfs???

The thigh guy2 votes

Oh no. It’s almost like all these early game picks had no risk for all of season 8 because they scaled just as hard as all the scaling picks. But you know.

nasus heals for 15 hp per q lvl 1, and 45 hp per q and 10 per auto with sheen and 165 stacks how is that overkill

To be fair, Fiora's late game isn't really that good. She just becomes a tank killing splitpusher. Her damage isn't really relevant at that point because it's just overkill on tanks and bruisers, and useless on everybody else.

Weiner the Pooh1 votes

I disagree. Late game Fiora isnt just a tank killing splitpusher, while her kit excels at killing tanks, Fiora outscales just about everyone in a 1v1, however her team fight still suffers from the weaknesses that plague her all game. Her team fight is not very good, and in League late game team fights are extremely important.

why dont i have more accounts to upvote this?

I'm glad that you dont have more accounts to upvote trash threads that do nothing but lie and spread false narratives like this one.

Let's not forget Yasuo dominating lane with nothing but zerker's greaves and a doran's shield

Weiner the Pooh1 votes

That Fiora Q change would absolutely ruin any early game she currently has. It’s cooldown is 16 seconds, currently putting it at just under 8 seconds. Lowering the refund would remove any skirmishing power before level 9. That’s a horrible change considering Fiora isn’t even that strong atm.

When it will be Mundo,Cho gath,Zac,Poppy,Gankplank time to see the daily light? Why is jax at 51.4% win rate and 29% ban rate, and 15% pick rate? Why is Riven at 52.5% WIN RATE,25.3% BAN RATE,AND 17.3% PICK RATE?

Early game champions have the opportunity to control the pace of the game when they are strongest.

Late game champions have the opportunity to control the pace of the game when they are strongest.
