so I got bard and enjoyed messing around with him. and the team was very nice with there loss as we won xD 
:before FF dance party at baron....and I had some fun messing with bard. at malz I was a complete failure at so nothing worth mentioning there....ADC was I think 1/4/1 and I was 2/4/0

Hybrid pen marks, Armor seals, ap glyphs, and 1 Ap quint + 1-2 mobility quints (He is slow as a constipated shit) or you could trade

but, the best way to excel with him is to bring 
and when you see the jungler mess them up E W W . I typically use my adc as bait sometimes just to make them think they are winning so when they chase him the combo E WW + minions kills them.

Häßlich1 votesMalz got nerfed awhile back so that his pets no longer prioritize champions unless your E is on them. That said, max E first and harass with it, using either T-Lords or DFG.
Either way, he isn't the oppressive support he once was, and you're probably better off with someone with more control and/or utility.
