ADC Ziggs is okay, but support Nunu is bannable?

You know, I just don't get what riot wants out of us in terms of gameplay or off meta picks.

The rework Morde to be an ADC and it fails. Ziggs turns into an ADC and they are fine with it. Malz turns into a support and they are fine with it. Smite Nunu can get someone into diamond so players are banned if they do it. It feels like riot's tolerance for off-meta picks is completely arbitrary. Usually 2 week first time bans only happen if you do something massively toxic but this guy doesn't seem like the typical "rioter take down" incoming.

So if riot is going to start handing out 2 week bans, with a threat of perma'd, for playing off-meta maybe it's time to start locking champs into certain roles and make it impossible to play a viable but bannable off-meta pick.

This is not how Support works at all, I can't believe you call yourself a support main and have this mentality.

Pulling your ADC through laning does not mean you're a slave. If anythinf you're more of a protective mother or guardian.

nothing wrong with smite nunu in diamond, i had one 1 month ago and he made us win, and no one reported him

It has nothing to do with the role. Sometimes junglers will fume because supp nunu will run smite. It's all fine if they invade, but sometimes they steal their own jg camps.

Was this question answered in the thread that blew up? I mean, if he did occasionally take some of his team's jungle camps it wouldn't be the end of the world, but it would explain how he got reported in the first place and why a Rioter might agree.

I expect there will be a kerfluffle around the smite sup nunu, and much like the singed thing there will be some red posts and/or the player will be unbanned (or have their ban reduced), and there will be further reiteration that it's about team communication rather than roles.

People get grumbly but generally don't mind (esp outside of ranked) when people play their roles with offmeta picks, but a lot more people aren't willing to get on board with people playing roles that aren't conventional (i.e. a second jg oriented against counter jungling or otherwise), as that can feel really bad for the adc who is stuck in a 2v1 situation.
