Why does nobody ever complain about Katarina?

I'm not saying people should be, just curious as to why not. As a Kat main I get frequent accusations of being a "Kat abuser" or "playing braindead champ" etc., but I never see any complaint threads on the boards.

Her kit, playstyle, and scaling numbers are all in line with what people seem to be complaining about all the time "too much mobility" "too much damage" "one shots me in .0001 secs" yet she just flies completely under the radar.

Shrug, anyway, just wondering.

some people do , even I hate facing her Her counter play is much obvious than a lot of other champions tho , I just hate it when I dodge all daggers but she 1 shoots me the moment she gets item 3146 . Kat is fine but this item isn't , yet it has a shitty build path so people don't complain much, Gosu does complain about her tho ( he complains about everything that 1 shoots ad carries)

Yeah Kat does have a pretty unhealthy relationship with Gunblade...

It's either she gets Gunblade asap and is a champion, or she doesn't and isn't. : /

I honestly wish they would move her AD ratios into AP and open up some new build paths.

Totally agreed Gumblade must be deleted so they give other choices Like the Active itself takes 20% of your HP , what is this bullshit

She doesn't kill that fast with the delay on dagger drops, and her extreme vulnerability to CC means that she can't effectively 1v5 like the champs people complain about.

Right but if you Q and E where the Q dagger will land, it's very hard to dodge. There's a delay to them sure, but you can mitigate the delay if you know where the dagger is going to be. The range is also deceptive, since you can E to any side of the dagger and the aoe from it is centered on where Kat picks it up, not the dagger itself.

As far as 1v5 I guess that's a fair point, though she kinda can, just not mindlessly and not against point-and-click cc.

Exactly. Compare this to champs like Akali, who can 1v5 easily given enough practice and reflexes, with very little opportunity for counterplay.

Lmfao sorry. There's no comparison here. I can 1v1 Akali in almost ANY situation. I cannot 1v1 a Kat unless I have a Melee or on click hard stun.

It's actually pretty simple to avoid. The funny thing is all u have to do is walk forward and you will dodge her passive. Most people don't so they get hit, but if you just walk up to her as she jumps then she only hits u with a q and e, not her passive.

I have avoided 4 consecutive daggers and still die. Why? Her Shunpo by itself once she has items does 900 damage. Her R has an insane range, and unless you have a hard stun on click or melee, she's going to kill you.

Yeah because shield up, Max rank Morgana Black Shield gets destroyed in .5 seconds by her ult and there's nothing Morgana can generally do to prevent the damage/CC her if Zhonya's is down.

If ur eating a full katarina ult, then u deserve to die there. Katarina should rarely be able to get a full ult off on anyone especially if ur team has cc

Dunno what elo you play in but It literally takes a post level 8 Kat only about 1 second to fully destroy Morgana's Shield + all her HP once Morgana has Q'd her. Morgana dies during the animation time of her own spell cast. It doesn't need full cast. Full cast = 4-5k damage when at 2-3 items.

i dunno what elo ur in to get hit by a full kat ult without using cc. High elo players know how to counter kat and most team comps have at least 2 champs that have hard cc

Katarina can literally bypass most CC, and in many cases (like the Morg I'm mentioning) the champion does not have CC that can stop it. The only CC Morgana has against Katarina that works is the Stun at the end of her ult. She's dead before that happens.

And no. You can't just root Katarina at large Q range to safety her; She can Shunpo past the Q and bypass it entirely, and then you're dead. But if you wait for her to Dagger, she'll also kill you, because R is in range and you have no way to avoid it.

You obviously don't have much Kat experience. I myself am friends with the #3, 5, and 8 Katarina players in the world in regards to Mastery. They regularly get 30+ kills a game, and less than 5 deaths. Most deaths happen in less than .3 seconds. React to that.

YOU don't have much experience on Kat. You can ask your friends and they will say the same thing as me. You shouldn't be taking full dmg from a kat ult. They would also tell u to save ur cc for her. Once she uses R she is rooted and is vulnerable.

Kat can also cancel her ult and avoid CC. My Kat friends player her with 7 million mastery because she's broken as HELL.

I'm not talking about morg only. I'm talking about ur team, if you don't save cc then u deserve to die, and no need to lie. The highest amount of mp on kat is around 4.3mil, unless u count total on multiple accounts.

btw kat's ult doesn't do 1500+ in the first second. It would do that over 2.5 seconds, which is round 600 dmg per second.

This. 9/10 times where I use my ult I only hit 1 person with like 3 ult daggers as a last ditch "get the reset NOW" effort.

You do realize that u can still jump, but as long as the dagger isn't on the ground, it wouldn't proc ur passive.

Because the other assassins are way better. From farming against poke match ups to being able to get away (Fizz, Ekko, Talon, Leblanc, etc).

Except.... they're not, nor do they generally overkill. Talon and LB can get away easier, but that's about it.

Fizz.... Ekko..... build magic resist and they are a joke. sidestep and they are a joke,

Katarina has the most consistent performance even in Challenger among the assassins for the last 4 years, because she resets.

Unless you have a melee stun of some sort in your kit, a pro Katarina beats all of the others, simply because she can arrange for the damage to be unavoidable. You can't spell shield it (she shreds any size shield). You can't root it (She can R through root, shunpo out of most roots).

She also gets on line quicker than the others. Fizz kind of needs his ult. LB's damage doesn't assassinate before about level 4 and is situational. Talon misses one dagger and his early kills are gone. Ekko needs you low health. Kat can kill you FB at level 2 even if you play the situation right and avoid her daggers.

As a kat main my self I do consistently well but if my team is braindead I still cant close out games because she gets countered a lot on top of that counting abilities and such before going in requires your team to front line for you and most people just dont do it.

because it's unfashionable. before the whole shtick was that she was uber duper super easy to play even though you had to have 500iq to enter a teamfight correctly. now she's seemingly hard to play with frustrating patterns emerging but ovbiously skill gated because randoms trying to play her feed, so now you can't say she's ez modo to play lolol. but yeah she's broken, most kata mains will tell you she's broken and get heckled on teh boards for being unskilled or something.

Idk, she is strong against dps champs/mages/enchanter supports and useless against tanks and fighters/juggernauts. New Gunblade is probably broken. Old Kata was never building it, it was considered trolling, but I remember she was using stuff like DFG which was a stronger assassin item in general. Old AP itemization was also giving more raw AP. I have seen Kata builds with Death's dance, Spirit Visage and Gunblade being strong, I doubt that's the intention of the game designers and balance team. Passive resetting the ult cd also seem a little too much, imo.
