@Meddler: Reworked Champions and Power (plus poll)
Ever since the Juggernaut patch it feels like every single champion update drastically hurts the games balance. I've noticed my own play of league goes down every time there's a champ update because the updated characters just feel batshit overpowered. The group of friends I used to play league with have all left for Overwatch mostly as a result of frustration around these rework changes.
Would you be able to clarify Riots philosophy around reworks and champion strength?
Wouldn't it be better for Sona/Malz/Graves etc to be updated to a weak state instead of being released as a pick/ban? If the enemy team locks them in it just feels like your chance of winning has collapsed because someone clicked a button before the game even began.
Normally I don't post on the boards here, but it seems like a big pattern has developed of reworked champs being miles better than the current meta and it honestly makes the game a lot less enjoyable.
The Cassiopeia release state feels MILES better to play against than Malz did and the small adjustments after release made her viable pretty quickly after the rework.
TL DR:. Why doesn't Riot aim for weaker power levels on reworked champs? What is Riots philosophy around reworked champion power levels?
