like honestly. the only time i lose against jax if its a 4v5, 3v5. actually i still win a lot of 4v5s with jax. or my team is just plain horrible. its really hard to win against jax as well. like if you don't have someone who can burst him so fast. like annie and cc him to hell. its gg. i mean cmon. am a jax main put some counterplay here and there.

I was just going to say Nasus. I play him a good amount and at 500-600 stacks ,good defensive items, 40-45% cdr you can literally perma slow anyone. With frozen heart it takes it down even more.

Not necessarily. Stormraider's looks very strong but it's also a keystone Nasus would use. With triforce he'd be able to burst someone and get the speed boost/slow resistance that is soooo good on him. But more importantly, the targets that Nasus wants to wither are people that usually don't take Stormraider's, with few exceptions.

i mean his E only dodges basics which is why high burst mages work against him really well. but yeah he ults and he gets like 100 armor and MR. stupidly tanky.

Ryze is very good against him but he is very ult reliant. Jax crushes him while his ult is down.

i was mainly taking about jungle jax. devoure. every 2nd hit takes like 50% the health of a squishie.
Pasta Help Desk1 votesJax has crap clear times in the jungle early on. Especially pre 6. Once he hts 6 clearing out the juggle is super easy. So any strong early game jungler like a Lee sin should have no problems counter jungling jax or picking up an early kill on him since he is very weak in the jungle pre 6. This will also help out a lot in prevent the Jax from obtaining a fully stacked devourer. But the bottom line is the longer you let the game continue the stronger Jax will get since his entire kit is just one big ball of Stats.

jax can be beaten in lane and he has plenty of counterplay as he gets outscaled dueling-wise by a few champions and his only way of playing is pushing the wave. also, if he wants to CS he has to push and he has to trade so this makes him very suceptible to ganks and if he falls behind, he has trouble forcing his playstyle upon his opponent.
hes strong and he can be very super strong but he has counterplay and is, i would say, one of the less scary toplaners.

like, check your items man. what do they give you? 90 magic ressitance (or something like it) 45 armor, 400 hp and 60 ap. thats what you have in a duel against jax. the magicres doesnt do so much against jax and even tho the chainmail and 400 hp are good, thats a combined value of 1800 gold. jax has 4450 gold in raw combat stats that are good against your champion. even if i add the AP you get from chalice and your magicresistance, you have less gold in combatstats than him and even if you would have a little more, they are worse against him and you have the much weaker duelist.
how do you intend to win that? if you had bought rod of ages, thornmail needlessly large rod, blasting wand and ninja tabi (same gold as your build) you could kill him easily. but you didnt, so you get reckt and instead of getting better at the game you cry and keep sucking. very nice mentality.
PS: many champions outlane jax and quite a few outscale him in 1on1 too. renekton and garen for example are excellent against him.

Not really - it's not like jax can't kill renekton is a straight fight even at those levels - its just a little too close for comfort for him. However - jax can force him to push the lane by allowing a fight to take palce in minions... pop potions and then he farms safe at tower. Renekton - hes just a safe pick that is hard to gank - all hes good at is pushing and early bully. Pushing is not what you want to do against late game hyper carries because they just end up safe farming.

Ever since Jax's E dodges the stun, the matchup is not in Renekton's favour anymore. If Jax has good reflexes (to E whenever Renekton W's), Renekton is deprived of a lot of his damage and simply can't beat jax anymore. It's somewhat of a skill matchup early but it's WAY easier than it used to be for Jax. With rageblade on top of that, Renekton vs Jax is no longer a counter. Skill matchup, if not in favour of Jax.

Yeah Garen seems solid. Though I'm not sure if Jax's stun dodges silence now (to verify). In any case, Darius also seems really good. He just zones him out, and if Jax wants to go all in, he's screwed once he get 5 stacks of blood on him.

If jax is in the jungle, its even worse because he goes devourer into rageblade, and he's super squishy. I haven't seen a jax do well or win in the last couple of weeks that I can recall.

Except hes jax so hes not squishy. he gets about 60 mr and ar with that setup right there from level 1 ult. On top of counter attack blocking autos and reducing aoe spell damage by 30%. Not to mention the fact even without his ult and counter attack if someone else lays down a stun for him he can delete any character in a single combo.

For me, its getting to the point that when I see a Jax in game I think, "gg we won". And Jax with a devourer/rageblade is a lot squishier than a jax with a trinity force. You cannot deny that. So yes, he is squishy, and if you have wards up, and can see him coming, there is nothing he can do to you. He can't turret dive you because he is squishy (if he does, free kill if you play properly)
