Will there ever be a "swap position with enemy" ability ever again?

I miss Urgot's old ultimate. It was unique, if not properly balanced and inappropriate to his old kit, but the idea of a "swap positions with enemy" ability isn't impossible to pull off.

Take Artanis' Warp Prism for one in HotS. It's a skillshot, it doesn't have much range, but when used properly it can let you pull off some awesome plays.

If the "Swap" ability were skillshot reliant, would it be more reasonable?

I seem to remember Riot mentioning at a point that it was a move they wanted to keep but on a different kit, so we'll probably see it again eventually. It's like how Zoe's ult was a proposed Warwick rework move from years earlier.

The ability made no sense on a champion known for long ranged nukes like old Urgot. It would fit best in the kit of a Vanguard.

Maybe Riot will come up with a new vanguard champion in the future and bring the skill back. I hope they keep the name, Hyperkinetic Position Reverser was an awesome name.

Like OurLestrade said, it's likely to come back in a later kit (I believe Riot specifically said they had plans to do that). It was just a terrible idea on a champion that was supposed to be an ADC.

Calling previous-Urgot an ADC is a bit of a stretch. He was always more of an AD Mage.

I think the mark system like Kayn and Rek'Sai have for their ultimates would suit it well.

Also, it's mostly a support ability, doesn't really seem healthy anywhere else.

I wouldn’t like it. If that champion is any good at fighting multiple enemy champs, then they could just swap places with the enemy peel and all-in the enemy carries. You’d just insta-lose the teamfight.

Well his E does a similar job tho

His E is more like Diablo's Q and E merged together but without the wall-pin mechanics.
