Things I would love to see Riot change from Ranked

  1. Remove the promo games - Whats the point in them ? You get to 100LP which in some people's cases it's winning 5-7 games in a ROW just to get to 100LP then needing to win 2/3 or 3/5 ranked games just to move back up to 0 lp but 1 division higher.
    Yes, I'm grateful for the placement auto W if you get back to those promo games but you lose LP whenever you're already in them why? You have 100LP get into promos lose the maximum games to not move up and that's the amount of LP you lose, it shouldn't be like that. Let's say a player only gets 7LP a game isn't it impressive that they got to 100LP winning what 14/15 ranked games in a ROW just to reach 100LP, so why should people still play the promo games.

  2. Start where you finished a year before please Finish previous ranked years in Silver 2 only to get placed in Bronze 4/5 for 3 years in a row now. Why?
    What's the point to even try in your placement games knowing you will start 4-5 divisions lower than where you finished a year before? " We want players to have fun and not lose if they are in a high division" - Riot WE GOT TO THAT ELO BY WINNING in the first place that makes 0 sense! It's like graduating 2nd grade and the teacher says " we will put you back in 2nd grade for the first half of the school year because 3rd grade is harder - NO SHIT! 1 step forward, 2 steps back!

  3. Can everyone get a ban please Why does the first 4 players not get a ban?

Placement games isn't about winning to reach a higher division if that's the case why are so many people(myself included) win 70% 7/10 of their games and not move up a division or two higher than where they would/should be, but after the placement games that's where winning actually matters? Makes 0 sense to me

Pretty much a rant and I know people will downvote this because I'm talking bad about the ranked system/Riot but meh, do what you want.

I see the point in having promos going from Bronze to Silver, Silver to Gold, etc. but going from Bronze 3 to Bronze 2 is pointless. Your other points are pretty valid as well.

For number 2, just start us at the lowest rank in that division (ie: if you finished Silver 2, next season you would start at Silver 5).

Here is how I'm starting to think about Ranked at the moment. Play my 10 placement games - Get placed Bronze 5. Play X games to get from B5 to Silver 3 having around 69(insert joke here) but serious I had a 69% win rate going from B5-S3. Play 10 games and lose about 5 out of 10 so kinda like a " maxed" out compared to how I started meaning either
A. I belong in Silver 3 or B. I just had a rough 10 games and it's nothing

A large portion is really A. And once you start to feel a grind there's not much of a point in playing anymore once you already know you're maxed out without grinding 100+ games just to move out from Silver to Gold only to start back in Bronze the following year anyways. Pretty much just play your 10 placement games - followed up by say 50 more games and quit ranked depending on how well you do. Below 60% winrate after placements you're wasting your time really.
Well taking a break and going to play Overwatch for the time being

I know right it's annoying! Sadly Riot will never remove pings since they said it themselves a while back ago, but it's the same thing as muting players for being toxic. Glad you think this is a problem as well. +1

We'll inevitably be allowed to make pings by certain players both silent and invisible to us. Riot just needs to be nagged enough to be made to realize it is not only a good idea, but it is wanted by most of the player base.

In the meantime, I play ALL my games with the ping volume turned off.
