Conquror

I know I'm not the only one noticing that with several champs I take more true damage than actual physical damage, such as taking 500 physical and 700 true damage from conquror. Even adding in resistance profiles the true damage should never be higher than the physical damage because it should be locked at 20%, Finished a game where the last time I died to Yasuo I took 593 physical damage and 714 true dmg. No red buff, no other items that increase true damage, and I had only a randuins. So it's not like I was pure armor tank and had 500 armor. I was around 140.

Is this going to be fixed? I am seeing this effect on other champs aswell, mostly ones who combine auto attacks with an ability. Somehow somewhere, its adding way more than 20% true dmg.

I have no issue with true damage, nor carry champions, I play them myself. It does seem to be happening more and more, and with a wider selection of champions.

Thoughts?

in my opinion? No. Depends what champion you were play. they need 4 seconds before the rune is on. so As a tank, you have the ability to CC the enemy when you get a team-mate a fighter or even assassin to help you.

Cause logically you cannot go on a fighter as a Tank 1v1. 4 seconds before the rune is active. that something you can take in advance to play around safety.

Armor has decreasing returns, as I'm sure you're aware. Even 140 armour is still a lot of physical protection, the damage reduction jump from 100 to 140 is greater than 140 to 180. That aside, 140 armor is roughly 58% reduced physical damage. True damage neglects resitance.

For easy numbers let assume the Auto attack is 1000 damage:

Incoming attack: 1,000 damage True damage 20%: 200 damage

Your armor now reduces the remaining 80% of the auto attack

1000-200 = 800 (incoming)

58% of 800 = 464 (reducing incoming)

800 - 464 = 336 (remainder of incoming)

True damage dealt: 200 hp Physical damage dealt: 336 hp

This gets more skewed the more armor you have. I believe my math is correct, however I'm just doing this off the cuff so I could be wrong. There's also the fact that Yasuo does critical strike damage which item 3143 takes 20% away from. So he'd be doing more true damage to you than physical damage once resistances are applied. Which would mean the Physical Damage dealt after it's passive is actually 155hp - 156hp, meaning that Yasuo is now dealing +22% more true damage than physical damage. Or somewhere around there.
