Harsher punishments in ranked

There is no reason why we cant do this.

Trolling and being an over all 10 year old in a ranked game should result in you being treated like a 10 year old. Countless games go by where players are tilted and their gameplay ruined due to racial slurs, intentional feeding, "running down mid" intentionally making 4 other people have a bad experience just because they thought it was funny.

enough is enough.

Ranked already has harsher punishment.

How? The only extra thing in ranked is that people who get punished can lose the privilege of earning ranked rewards. I do not believe that the punishment system is any stricter.

Leaver Buster acts two times as quickly in ranked games, I'd guess that griefing reports counts double too, but I never got punished for that so I can't tell for sure.

Obviously things like verbal abuse are just as bad in normals as in ranked, so increasing punishment there makes no sense, but thatn again it is much easier to be punished for this than for griefing.

it's called reporting them, if you don't do it then don't complain about "why does this person is still doing whatever he wants"

if riot gave a shit about reports i would be the cause of the termination of the bronze/silver league, especially because i write detailed reports about the bullshit they did in game. Riot only cares if you're scaring away kids that will eventually give them 900 bucks in 3 years using their mom's credit card and still they can't get out of bronze. On the contrary, if you get trolled 6-7 games in a row you'll take more games to reach your desired objective, thus you need to play more and riot have a more active playerbase. Riot knows that trolls are BAD and they just troll as a defense mechanism to exorcise the fact that they know they're bad, is almost like a drinking problem, but riot also knows that if they stroke their ego enough they most likely will be useful idiots for them, this is why all the sightstoneless supports and the nomad's medallion jhin will never get banned but if you say "fuck you" or "kys EleGiggle" one time you'll be deleted from the face of the internet.

The tribunal has been dead for 2 years now? It's all automated, no one actually reads what you write, the system says, oh this guy got reported 3 times for racial slurs, time to take action. etc etc

I KNOW, i got chat restricted once just because i was PRETENDING and i was mocking what my teammates were saying to me by imitating them, bam, chat restriction and i had to wait a month before i could go back to farm the chests, thankfully i managed to farm all 4 of them so i didn't lost any day for that, but it's the principle that counts for me: being held hostage by trolls and retards it's ok, defending yourself is not.

No matter how many of them you report, there's always more waiting for you in the next game.

That implies a systemic problem. I think that a large part of the problem is that Riot keep their systems too secret. Players don't have information about how often players are punished, which leads people to believe (correctly or not) that no one ever gets punished. Players also don't have easy access to information about the kinds of behaviour which are unacceptable, so they copy the behaviorus that they see from others in-game, assuming that it's the appropriate way to behave.

Riot doesn't punish intentional feeder unless they do it 20 times and buy 6 tears. going 0/17 in lane isn't enough. standing in the middle of creeps and dying 10 times in a row mid lane isn't. they don't ban people. they just ban whatever goes on reddit.

and this is why they don't, you don't report them then you have NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN! report them, they get enough reports they'll at least get looked at and see if there's a pattern. But sure go ahead and keep having this mentality, YOU are part of the problem

Harsher punishments in ranked everywhere

Yes

I would agree, but baby steps, as we are dealing with Riot, and if they released anything concerning this it would probably need months of balancing.

I think Riot showed already they do not want to hurt players that obviously break rules.

  1. They removed judgement. It was flawed mechanic, okay. But instead of thinking of fixing it, they just removed it.
  2. Hiding player names who dodged the game.
  3. Turning off ARAM report (I KNOW it is "just" ARAM. But some people like me love ARAM. I don't play normal/rankeds. Ofc I can live with soft trolls, or trolls who already know we'd lose thus trolling. But I meat true pieces of garabge that just try to ruin my day. And my report means shit. Frustrating as fuck).
  4. Not informing victims of harrasment of punishment...
