Why is the client so unstable now?

I have been kicked out of the queue multiple times because the game does not register my choices when I go in. Rather, when I pick my choices, it does not lock in, and instead, it says that the PvP server timed out.

This is after multiple fresh reinstalls, after I've had this problem maybe once every 20 games or so. I also decided to do a fresh reinstall after not doing so for about 2 years. Now, the PvP timeout is happening at least once every 5 games. Does anyone have a solution to this? I feel like I'm getting unfairly kicked out of the game and it is simply out of my control to actually do a thing about it.

This is my 3rd reinstall. I don't want to do another reinstall because I feel like the effort is not worth the reward at this point.
