The worst thing about the Veigar rework

Veigar's skill cap was not about landing a hundred skillshots but about farming well, placing the stun correctly, managing long cooldowns and being an immobile mage in the mobility meta. This made him unique and made him feel almost like a Dota hero.
Variety is good, isn't it? Some champions are about twitch reflexes, others about careful positi--- NNNNOPE Now Veigar is another champion that's about skillshots and telegraphed AoEs, just like pretty much everyone else in the game. It seems that Riot does not want positioning or timing to be important and wants the game to be about skillshots and juking. If Veigar does turn out to be useless now, expect his stun cooldown to go down to make him even more similar to everyone else.
Tis a shame, because the cool thing about Dota is that heroes tend to emphasise different kinds of player skill: skillshots, positioning, strategy (where to go and what to push), multiple unit control, orbwalking, etc. If you're good at one thing and bad at another, it affects which champions you pick. In League, if you're good at timing and positioning but bad at aiming skillshots, good luck finding any champion that isn't a bruiser.
