PSA: In this Current Diver Meta, Peel Supports with Displacements will be Infinitely Useful

With the current strength of divers and the proliferation of Bot lane ganks, I believe that there is a misunderstanding going on about what support is needed. I'm not surprised that low-peel supports are more common what with the power of redemption and such. However with the complaints about divers (both fighting and tank) such as Vi, Zac, Hecarim, Camille , Volibear , and Poppy, as well as the upcoming Warwick rework Warwick , I think the support meta should start shifting towards Alistar (instead of using headbutt+pulverize and an initiate, use them individually as peel to remove ww from your ally), Blitzcrank (instead of pulling an enemy towards your team, use it to pull the Volibear off your miss fortune), TahmKench, Sion , Nautilus , Leona .

The case i am making is that these are all heavy cc supports that, while having great initiation potential, may better be utilized for peel in this meta. Remember Knight's Vow item 3109? I sometime have to be the one to buy it as sejuani because the diver is on top of my adc and I need to peel for them because our alistar is up front headbutt-pulverizing the enemy, instead of helping the adc, which is supposed to be his job. My job is to initiate and soak up damage.

It may depend on whether those champions can survive against Zyra/Malzahar during the laning phase.

You are leaving out the Queen of Peel. Janna

Don't bring attention to this. When I pick Zac and the enemy support is Thresh or Janna, I cry.
