Did you really just try to make a parallel between a Samoan and an American Negro?

I'm not sure I'd use the word "negro" like that every again, yo. And for that matter, there's a lot more going on with Illaoi than Samoan cultural parallels. I see a fair amount of Haitian, Mesoamerican, and perhaps Maori as well.

It actually just as racist as what you might call the "N" word, since it is the actual N word. It is incredibly offensive to use it when referring to african americans, because that is the derogatory word that was used in the south to belittle the humanness of African americans. In fact, the "N" word is just the old southern slang form of it.

If you don't care to watch all of it the important part is that the esteemed Martin Luther King Jr. refers to himself and his fellow black Americans as Negros. Because at the time, Negro was the most polite version of "colored". So no, it was actually the preferred way to be called by black Americans.

She's most definitely inspired by the Loa of Vodou and the Polynesian's peoples reverence for the ocean. Nagakabouros itself (Since deities really can't have a gender unless explicitly stated) is more of an incarnation of the Oceans in Runeterra based on her teachings. Life isn't just static, it's in motion. Push and pull.

Yeah, please don't use "Negro" man, that's the term people used when african americans were considered "livestock" or "personal property". That's not cool in any situation, even if you're pointing out someone else's problem.
