This Game Is Fucked

Wind Whistler··3 votes·637 views

Rylai's Crystal Scepter shenanigans, new overloaded champion, more and more champions being LITERALLY removed from the game, Assassin Update shenanigans, Vayne still on the loose, champions who are still dumpstered, playstyles that are deemed "toxic" and now aren't viable anymore, ect. Only good thing about this game is the music team.

If it somehow could raise people's awareness of how terrible of a state the game is in right now, it wouldn't be pointless. : (

If you made any valid points here, any real argument instead of nothing but bias, then you would raise awareness to an actual issue.

The champs that you like are "dumpstered," the new champ that hasn't been released to live is apparently broken based on your "professional" opinion, a champion that is at the moment overtuned Vayne is getting nerfed so look at pbe notes, ss@20, or reddit. And the fact that you don't like any changes to an outdated champs with crappy lore, little to no counterplay, terrible thematics by design, with looks like they are from 2009 still is quite frankly upsetting. You're the type of person that won't be happy with any actual change that happens to the game, because you're completely stuck in your ways.

There is no pleasing you, so please do move on to another game that you can complain about in the next few months about to their community about how nothing is like how it used to be, and how you refuse to play that game and have moved on to another.

Bias? How is the situation with Rylai's biased? That doesn't even make sense. There's a huge shitfest going on right now over that item, and that, my good friend, is a FACT.

And where did you get the impression that the champions I like are dumpstered? I don't play any assassins, bar Kha'Zix, who isn't necessarily weak, but the rework failed at doing what Riot wanted it to do for him. I don't know how you're getting all of these wacky ideas. Although, I do admit that my main, Cho'Gath, is in a really bad spot right now. Aurelion, who I also play quite a bit, has a ton of bugs that make him frustrating to play.

The nerfs to Vayne don't fix anything. She's still going to assassinate people late game by pressing Q and then clicking on them. You sound like you're a big fan of "counterplay", yet you don't even bring up how bullshit that is.

No. YOU'RE biased. There was nothing wrong with Yorick, Poppy, or Sion's lore. In fact, Sion's lore was kept mainly the same. Only Sion and Poppy had counterplay issues. Yorick was much better, although that's something that you'd obviously never understand. You just jump on the bandwagon of people who want these champions removed from the game, and then, when they finally are removed and replaced with an entirely different champion, you rejoice, claiming that they have been "saved", or "improved", even though NEARLY EVERY GOD DAMN SINGLE THING ABOUT THAT MADE THAT CHAMPION WHO HE WAS IS GONE. Oh, I would have LOVED for Sion's N64 game-looking ass to be updated, he definitely needed it. I would have loved to see them make 2 of his abilities not useless whether you were AP or AD. I would have loved to see his outdated kit modernized, so that he could be the reckless warrior that charges into battle and fucks everyone's shit up that he was always meant to be. But that's NOT what they did. He doesn't look anything LIKE Sion. His playstyle is that of a CC Tank. That's NOT what Sion was at all before his rework. They had the decision to embrace his AP Playstyle and make him a mage, or embrace his AD Playstyle and make him a fighter/melee carry. Instead, they went with NEITHER of those things.

I'm not even going to talk about Poppy or Yorick, especially Yorick. Oh, and by the way, there was NOTHING wrong with Yorick's model. I don't know where you get this shit from. He was released in late 2011.

Reworks don't remove champions from the game. They make then more healthy and update them at the same time.

I do. In fact, I often call people out when they use it incorrectly.

The fact of the matter is, nearly everything that made Yorick, Sion, and Poppy who they were was changed completely, aka removed.

"Sion": Completely different Q. Completely different E. Fairly different W. Completely different R. Completely different passive. Completely different visuals. Completely different voice. Slightly different lore. "Poppy": Completely different Q. Completely different W. Mostly the same E. Completely different R. Completely different passive. Very different visuals. Completely different voice. Completely different lore. "Yorick"(oh boy): Completely different Q. Completely different W. Completely different E. Completely different ult. Completely different passive. Completely different visuals. Completely different voice. Completely different lore.

How does completely different=update?

Ryze was good, and Taric was okay, though.

TyrekGoldenspear3 votes

Easy.

Sion is still an undead champion.

Poppy is still a yordle with a hammer.

Yorick is still the guy with the ghouls.

The thematics didn't change. Therefore it is am update.

Easy.

Sion is still an undead champion.

There are many champions who are undead. There's also Olaf, who wields axes.

Poppy is still a yordle with a hammer.

Poppy was a LOT more than just a yordle with a hammer.

Yorick is still the guy with the ghouls.

Technically, they're not even ghouls anymore. They're "mistwalkers", but yeah, I guess I'll give you that one.

Pointless qq thread is pointless.

We have solo queue back, game is better than it has been in a LONG time.

Pointless response is pointless.

Solo Queue doesn't help balance. It only helps you climb rank, which doesn't even matter because it's preseason.

Solo Queue doesn't help balance.

While that is technically true... dynamic and flex queue HEAVILY amplified even the slightest imbalances in the game.

Solo queue makes it more about skill and thus, minor imbalances are less relevant.

Isn't teamwork also a skill, though? Or were you saying that higher elo players were matched against lower elo players too much or something?

Isn't teamwork also a skill, though?

No. "Teamwork" is not a skill. It is the method by which multiple players synchronize efforts in order to achieve holistic results. Or in simple terms; Something that an individual player has absolutely zero effect on.

I can carry matches in solo queue on a regular basis. I cannot carry matches in forced team queue because I cannot 'outplay' a premade/pre-organized team by myself. The result is that anyone that is not on a pre-organized team is at a massive disadvantage right out of the gate.

This means that the slightest overpowered character will have their asses covered by their premade teammates.... meaning whatever weaknesses someone like Vayne could have will be significantly harder to exploit, thus magnifying any bullshit advantage Vayne has in this patch era.

Do you understand? I know you don't but I ask anyway because it is a way to highlight the fact that you have just been given all of the information in a very straightforward manner but will fail to understand regardless of the level I have been forced to decrease myself to.

Ariel the Cruel ; YOU ARE NOT RIGHT.

Wind Whistler1 votes

Jeez. You didn't need to say all of that. I'm pretty sure I got the message. I was just asking a question, really. I can see how the game balance is skewed by premades now. Although still, I think being able to work with your team better is definitely a skill. Being premades definitely isn't, though.
