Am I the only person here who wants to see the new Poppy fight Sion?

They have a lot of differences and a lot of stuff in common. Both are considered heroes in their respective homes. Both are legendary fighters. Both got huge relaunches almost a year apart from each other. Both got their own login screen the day the relaunches went live.

Sion stands for Noxus and its ideals, Poppy stands for Demacia and its ideals. Sion has a huge axe, Poppy has a huge hammer. Sion enjoys killing people, Poppy enjoys saving people.

Mordekaiser would actually have trouble with that. Sion has no soul. And while it IS called a "Soul Furnace," it doesn't contain any souls. Just the essence and energy of the souls, not the souls themselves. Thus, Mordekaiser and Sion would have to duke it out until one of them tires out.

I didn't notice "joke" in the link and I thought it was going to be a picture of his old splash art. Upon hearing his quote I broke out in laughter.

But yeah, in all honesty, assuming that he could use the same abilities he does in game, especially his ult, which STEALS your life, he would probably kick the new one's ass. I miss him.

Sion would break Poppy like a twig. I'm sorry, his brute strength is too much for the strongest humans, let alone a yordle, to withstand.

Shyvana VS Sion would make the most sense. An undead, bloodthirsty giant of a man VS a dragon. It's basically whoever kills the other first.

Galio VS Sion would end terribly for Galio. Sion smashes Demacia's walls like Styrofoam. Galio would be no different.

Well, judging by Sion's taunts towards Galio... He and Galio HAVE fought in the past, whenever Sion's been unleashed on Demacia, Galio's been there to hold him off. Sion's essentially the unstoppable force to Galio's immovable object.

One of Sion's taunt towards him is "We've clashed a thousand times, no more!". If what he says is true, they've fought each other a ton of times and obviously neither of them died, so they're most likely evenly matched.

I know they were evenly matched when alive. But the reason Sion couldn't beat Galio and vice versa was because it was the Unstoppable Force VS the Immovable Object. They both surrendered. However, Sion now has the advantage, crafted into the ideal tool of war. Everything about him was made to kill, even his voice.

Sion doesn't exactly stand for noxus ideals. He just wants to kill stuff, he hates swain with a passion. But I would like to see a cinematic with these two facing off. My money would have to go to Sion though lol

He does, and so do the other beast-like champions, such as Renekton and Rek'Sai. Cho'Gath would be nice too, although he's already been in a cinematic, but it was a rather short cinematic.

I recall seeing something that said he stood for its ideals on his champion update page. Could be wrong though. Also, in his lore he thinks of Swain as a "true Noxian", while his in-game taunt calls him weak and not a leader.

Technically speaking, Sion doesn't stand for Noxian ideals. When he was alive, he was a hero, then he died a hero killing Jarvan II. However, when he was resurrected he turned into a bloodthirsty creature that had an insatiable appetite for slaughtering and literally leeched off of death. Standing at around 9-10 feet tall (he's very, very big), Sion can trample hundreds of soldiers at once, not feeling a single thing while they scream for agony, their death fueling his rampage. He's like that secret weapon you can't control, Swain just lets him run rampant killing everything in his path, and it is not human in the slightest. Noxus stands for fighting, displaying strength through battle, fighting until death. Sion may reflect the killing side, but what he does is far from honorable and disgusts even Darius, the Butcher of Noxus.

Poppy is extremely strong for a yordle, though. She's shown to be capable of ripping through materials harder than steel with her hammer strikes, and has displayed that she possesses a much greater strength and spirit of even the most noble of Demacian heroes. However, while she can fight many things, she cannot kill what does not die.

If these two were to fight, here is how I imagine it to go down, lore-wise:

: "What is that thing? He looks like a man, but his eyes are glowing red and there's that weird hole in his stomach..." : "All troops, we are going to tactically withdraw! Fall back! Release him!" : Storms out of cage door, charging at the armies of both Noxus and Demacia, tearing all the soldiers to bits while screaming : "If I don't stop him now, he'll kill everyone!" Pulls back hammer for a blow : "You... I'll kill you first. Then I'll use your hammer to grind Demacia to DUST!" : Strikes Sion very hard, causing him to reel back and fly several yards away : "Pretty sure I heard his neck snap. He should be dead now." : Moves neck back into place with a loud CRACK "I'm not finished yet." : "Ergh! Take THIS!" Jumps at Sion with an aerial strike : Holds out palm, catches Poppy from her head "I enjoy this sound all too much." CRACK drops Poppy's lifeless body on the ground, then proceeds to slaughter the rest of the army

Poppy can face beasts and gargantuan creatures all she wants. They are designed to thrive and survive. Sion was created with the sole purpose to kill, and nothing else. Nobody can top him at it except for Kindred.

Have you seen the comic? Poppy has killed things bigger than Sion with ease, a blow of her hammer would cut him in half... even an undead cant move without his legs.

That furnace contains the souls of tens of thousands. That much energy would be dispelled, and would create a damage radius that is rivalled only in Dragon Ball Z.

Poppy may be strong, but without some way to safely disarm the furnace, she's fighting a living bomb.

The furnace uses the souls as fuel, the fuel is used in order to keep him alive... those souls are consumed after he uses them.

And Poppy would sacrifice herself in order to kill him

They revived him once, they can do it again. He's basically a living machine that can be repaired over and over. It would take a full vaporization and irreversible damage (I'm talking like a meteor hitting Sion head-on) before Sion must be disposed.

I don't think Poppy can beat a monster almost immortal like Sion. Not yet. If you don't count godlike or semi-godlike characters like ascendeds or Mordekaiser, he is probably one of the strongest lorewise champions. Or at least i don't think many of the humans characters could beat him. And i also think that Poppy isn't at her maximal potential... So she isn't ready... Yet.

Sion But in any case, a fight against Sion is something i would like to see or to read. He's not a complex character, but as a opponent of the heroes, that giant would be awesome. Also, i hope we will have Demacia X Noxus interractions at any point, i miss that.(And i miss Du Couteau too item 3070 . Where are you, Katadaddy?)
