Please Fucking Help Cho'Gath

Wind Whistler··9 votes·998 views

I haven't seen a single post even MENTIONING Cho'Gath since he received the nerfs to his W. I know they weren't intentional nerfs, but holy shit did it impact him. He's ridiculously frustrating to play now, especially against Assassins, who he's supposed to COUNTER. Why has everyone suddenly forgot about Cho'Gath?

EDIT: Why the hell is this being downvoted? Was Cho'Gath all the sudden really OP? Like how Rylai's is suddenly OP, and ranged top laners are suddenly OP? Why do people claim stuff is OP out of nowhere and circlejerk?

Cho'Gaths win rate has plummeted. Even the one-tricks are having trouble with him. He needs help and I'm sure he will get it with a very low win rate like that, but not until after the assassin rework.

Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call myself a one trick, but I have 270k mastery points for Cho'Gath. I had about 225k with Renekton, but now that I stopped playing Cho'Gath, Renekton is starting to catch up. If two tricks are a thing, that's definitely what I am.

Regardless, I just can't play Cho'Gath anymore : ( The reason I'm so worried is because NO ONE has said ANYTHING about Cho'Gath since they made the changes. Thanks for the information, though

I'm sure the terror of the void and some other champs will get attention after the assassin update ships and the hype dies down to normal.

I hope you're right... Kog'Maw also REALLY needs the help. He's sort of a mess right now...

How is he in a decent spot right now?

Hmm, lets see: Decent laning phase Tanky (even when building ap) Hard CC AOE Silence Sustain via passive wave clear

His Q is unreliable CC, and now, thanks to the nerfs, so is his W. All of his CC is unreliable. Where he used to excel against Assassins, now he has a difficult time in dealing with them. That's a pretty big nerf. I'm not going to lie, Cho'Gath was pretty strong, but now he's way too weak. He needs a moderate buff.

He has a 47% winrate with a 0.7% pickrate. That's just toplane. His midlane winrate is 46%. Jungle is 41%. That's really weak man.

The W is dumb at the moment, it works more like a cone shape version of q than a progressive scream across and this is problem. you can get hit by the animation but it does nothing until the animation reaches the end of the scream. hell you can charge straight through the bloody scream and it won't hit you. it's even bad to the point I've seen people flashing dashing and still being inside the zone and not being hit so don't tell me it's fine, it's funny how you say he's decent when you play champs that have 55%w/r+against cho. nice troll attempt tho (edit: I agree to the none instant w but it should atleast dmg and silence the same time the animation follows)

Um, weren't those scrapped and never made it through?

Sort of. They were scrapped at first, but they brought the changes back the next patch, THEN they went through.

You have to understand that Cho'Gath is not fun to watch in LCS so he will be left to rot in the pile forever. Sorry man.

No. This doesn't apply to him. Everything Riot has done to Cho'Gath before has been a reasonable change. They even said they didn't intend for this to be a nerf.

His W change needed to happen.

Despite that, I feel that he is still good, though.

Despite how bullshit his W sometimes could have been, like if you flashed away from it, think of how many champions have mobility now, and how Cho'Gath is immobile. Where Cho'Gath could have silenced a champion before, now all they have to do is leap away, and there's nothing he can do about it. They should either further improve the range, or revert the changes.

After playing a game of cho today and going 20-5, I can honestly say he's garbage. Even after getting so fed I felt worthless because the delay on W is so damn bad. Never playing the champ again after that game.

It's not the delay that makes it bad, it's the fact that you can walk out of it now. You have to be right up in their face for it to work, and even then, they can still dash/blink away, or just simply go to the side and dodge it. It's WAY too easy to dodge.
