How does soraka fare against other supports in a teamfight?

Even as the game nears the end, thresh and blitz have their hook to make a play, morg has her ult stun, annie has her ult stun, even tahm has his devour save the adc. Except for healing a single person with w (and team with ult), what cc or game changer does she bring? Her E should never hit root a champion on its own.

People underestimate it, but her silence is pretty decent in fights. Her heal is a very low cooldown too, so you can chill beside a carry and constantly heal them.

This ^ It can be hard to see the silence underneath you in a teamfight and while you will notice it to get out before the snare, those few seconds of being silenced can hurt many champions.

Annie's Ult ALONE does NOT stun. It timed with her passive to get the group stun.

As stated that Silence on Soraka's E can be surprising.

Combine her op aoe silence with item 3116 and you will root someone. Root someone and you win the team fight. You should win anyway, since your team never leaves full health.

Soraka is good late game for numerous reasons. The fact that a support literally has a bounty on her head means a lot for a team because thats less pressure on the carries. Aside from that, in drawn out team fights if soraka isnt killed almost immediately, she will do loads of work for the team and probably win the team fight given her constant heals. However, if an assassin gets fed early, shes usually pretty easy to pick off.

Soraka needs a front line that can basically do the peeling and engaging that these other supports do so she can sit back in the backline, be a nuisance with Q-E, and heal her ADC through any dmg that gets to them with W.

Soraka doesn't make plays, but if she's good, neither does the enemy team.
