An idea for Veigar.

So I've noticed more Veigar threads emerging, and this pleases me greatly. I'm glad to see he's not completely swept under the rug and forgotten. And while I do acknowledge that people have had success with the new Veigar, his kit has been dismantled. His kit has shifted from forcing a stun on and opponent and proceeding to send them to hell into something lackluster .It's all about how dumb the enemy is and punishing their mistakes, there is no more making plays with Veigar.

First things first, his W has lost over half it's potential use. With his Stun being the way it is right now it's nigh impossible to make meaningful use of your W outside of a teamfight. No other champion in this entire game has a skill that relies solely on another champion's intervention outside of and her ultimate. While this may come off as hyperbole it's really not, see how much of a use you get out of darkmatter on and unstunned opponent who has half a brain. Hell it's easier nail someone point blank with an ezreal ult, than with Veig's W.

So this W needs to be useful, and in order to do this his kit has to be slightly altered in response. So here is my proposed change, not the best but it's a damn good start.

New Q effect. Veigar's Q now applies a mark to hit targets for 5 seconds. If said target gets trapped in his E they are slowed by 50% and take 15% increased damage. This makes me want to attempt and trap my prey rather than just aiming for a stun. This plays to Veigar's kit so much better than acting as an over glorified stun/zone bot. When they removed DFG and gave him this new skillshot farming ability it was a great addition to his playstyle. And while I do agree that his stun was abit too much, they still should have gave him a new W to work with the changes in his kit. Especially since his W was balanced around you landing a stun.

All in all Veigar as he is now is bland as hell, unfun to play as and can't make any plays outside of acting on other peoples mistake. While his farming mini-game is more fun to play with and you now have the chance to double down on your farm, it still doesn't excuse the gutting of his entire kit. The stun nerf while crappy, was still acceptable and manageable. But the ignoring of his W and the ult scaling nerf was uneeded imo.

Veigar and Anivia were my first 2 champions I ever played and mained starting in season 1. And while I still have my Articuno, my Vivi is weeping.
