Just want to point out that the only midlaners beating her in winrate are those niche, unpopular (but effective in the right hands) picks of Malzahar and Heimerdinger.

Other than that, she's cruising at a constant, reliable 53%+ winrate while also being the most popular midlaner in the entire game, at around 17% pick rate. (Unless you count Annie and Morgana being taken support as competition for her midlane pickrate.)

Most popular, and just about most successful.

Ahri is the mage version of Irelia. A kit designed to be the epitome of the role.

Sustain, True damage, Mobility, Burst, AoE.

To top that off she's a Hybrid Assassin/Carry Mage

This means she excels in 1v1's and team fighting, laning phase will always exist so 1v1 is important. Team fighting is "big" this season, and she's one of the best mid lane transitioning champions.

Other champions are better in lane, or team fighting, but suffer in the other. Le-Blanc is a GOD of lane/skirmish, but full on team fights is outshined. Karthus is INSANE in a team fight, but his laning is risky. Ahri can do both, and her true damage means her damage is good even against tanks.

To be fair cassi feels really bad to lane against because she is never out of mana.

That being said, Ahri really is irritating to play against, but a good lock down mage is nice against her. I've been having success with ori, malz, and LB against her.

I always sigh when I see ahri picked. She's like jinx, OP. safest bullshit laning / sustain. And then once she has you to like 75% hp, all she has to do it land 1 E and face roll the keyboard. Seriously, feels worse than being killed by a Zed ult.

and her name is Ahri. Are-ee. Get it? because all you have to do to win is R > E.

You're not taking into account the fact that most people who play her have been playing her for a while because she has always been the most popular mid laner, even if they don't main her. This average player experience on the champion is what allows even currently weak champions like Lux, Twisted Fate, Karthus or Anivia, who were in the top 2-3 most popular picks in earlier seasons, to have positive and higher winrates than really strong picks that no one really mains like Azir, LeBlanc, Cass ect, people only play these champions when they are strong FoTM picks and thus the average player has a lower success rate with them, lowering their winrate despite them being god tier in the hands of someone who mains them.

Also why nerf a champion that is really fun and a ton of people enjoy playing both when she is at an even winrate and a really high winrate? Are you really that focused on making every champion 50% winrate you would destroy peoples enjoyment of the game in the process, just because a champion jumps 2% winrate in one patch (its also less than a day into 5.9 so it will probably be back down to her usual 50-51% within the week).

Ahri and Leblanc deserve more changes/ nerfs than Cass. (shift their power somewhere else, please)

Cassiopeia is so damn easy to gank and lock down in teamfights. I thought the power shift from Q to E would ''put her in a vulnerable state in lane'', but apparently it's not enough for Riot.

With the previous set of mana nerfs and this one, once she decides to throw out a Q and EEE somebody, there's no way in hell she's getting mana back in time to fight a second time.

It is really unfair..

Meanwhile.. Leblanc QW chucnks 50% hp, Zed and Yasuo harass endlessly...

Ahri is complete cancer. Permaban her every game if I'm first pick. If you make a mistake against her (as any lane, not just mid) its gg since you can't suppress her due to her 234142423414 escapes. If shes behind? Farms in complete safety at tower and you can't dive her.

She could use a small nerf to her movement boost from [Q]. It makes kiting extremely easy for her, and catching her out properly requires extended CC.

I do think Ahri is a solid champion as a whole, but, I constantly see that either I or someone else on my team has thought out loud, "God, this Ahri doesn't do anything". I not entirely sure what it is about her, but I so often just see Ahri have no impact in a teamfight whatsoever. I would guess that, if tanks do their job well, all of her Fox Fires, Ult Charges, and Charms land on tanks instead of squishies and she's worthless.

All I hear is 'I hate champs that are average at everything but good at nothing since I can't just counterpick them and insta win and have to actually beat them straight up.'

Ahri is a jack of all trades, master of none.

Her damage is good, but is much lower than LeBlanc, Zed, Nidalee, Yasuo, Anivia, Annie, Malz etc

Her mobility is good, but not as good as Riven, Kalista, Leblanc, lee sin, nidalee, fizz, kata

Her sustain is decent, but is nowhere as good as Vlad, Nida, Swain, Cho

Her waveclear is average, and much worse than Ziggs, TF, Zed, Malz, Syndra, Morgana

Just pick someone who outperforms her in something and you'll find that she isn't hard to beat at all

I have no problem playing Syndra and Diana into Ahri and those two aren't exactly niche.
