Getting ranked is easiest the first time

So I've recently discovered a struggle about getting a ranking one season and then trying to get back to it the next. So last season I got to plat 5 and this season I was placed gold 3. So not too bad of a climb to get to plat again. But Now this time I have to play against plat 2-plat1 players every single game because of MMR. As far as who im matched up against League considers me to still be in plat. So my first climb to plat was fair I was usually matched up against players of my similar ranking. but now it's technically placing players who are 7 divisions higher than gold 3. I just don't see how that makes sense to have to "fight against the current" this time around

on smaller servers such as OCE, the ranked ladder is swarmed by dyna q

the skill disparity is even crazier as the ranked population is already low and at least 3/4 of the players are dynamic queueing. I've seen gold 2s and 1s in bronze 1-3 games because they dyna queued with silvers l0l. The matchmaking algorithm or whatever can't cope with the low ranked base so it makes these kinds of adjustments i believe.

lol I smurf in silver I and constantly Im facing gold II gold I and plat V. I mean I still carry and win but ye I dont see how a true silver I gonna win a lane against a gold II, gold I thats like 1 elo above xD
