why did they gut my fish

The changes are healthy in terms of design but he feels SO WEAK in terms of numbers

w passive - damage over time is substantially less and is no longer % missing hp. This is a healthy change since %missing hp is gay but it is less damage w active - big ap ratio and base damage, the w is powerful for sure, however you can use it far less often for far less sustained damage in team fights e - costs marginally less mana but shows enemies its range. Also healthy change but weaker since people can avoid the circle with greater certainty q - cooldown lower, mana lower, but applies the weaker w passive until you pop it

r - the real issue. His ult no longer adds +20% damage to your other damage. A minimum range ult does less damage then your e and w. A mid range ult does less damage than the previous version, with a 0.8 ap ratio compared to 1.0. The largest ult does more than before, in a bigger area, however it is near impossible to land on anyone with a dash or flash. So for assassinations he does far far less damage. You are very likely to not get a full sized ult off and don't do +20% so very unlikely to finish them off

Masteries and items are also a HUGE issue. Fresh blood causes you to take an additional 10-28 damage every time you walk up to last hit from a ranged opponent. Greenfathers gift is also awful in top lane because they sit in the bush and if you try to move up to farm they pop you for 3% of your hp + the fresh blood too. The nerf also hurts my assassinations which I did purchase almost every game as fizz.

So basically, I'm doing worse assassinations with a lower expected damage output due to the r changes, but ALSO over a longer period of time due to the w changes. Plus, I am even worse off farming in lane now since harassment hurts so much more and I have no ranged stuff in my kit like to last hit with

If I want to play an assassin, why would I EVER play him over an AD champion which gets ??????????????????

Rengo and kha still TOTALLY BLOW PEOPLE UP in one second like they used to except now they are spell shielded lmfao

Not only that, since his w is worse sustained damage, he is worse at jungle clears too. Also camps take more aoe to clear now, which he isnt amazing at compared to junglers which have aoe on more abilities. Not to mention if you're ad you get to play with too
