Ahri's Foxfire does not feel like an impactful skill; can't it have some utility?

Out of Ahri's kit, Foxfire feels like a tack-on ability at this point. It does her lowest damage, has no utility attached besides charging her weakened passive, and has reliability issues when you try to dive into a clusterf&ck teamfight. And all because Riot says "it's homing, so it has to suck".

Anybody else think that's kinda bullsh!t? I do, so I'd like to see Foxfire get some sort of utility buff if its damage can't be good.

Maybe something like this: If you hit an enemy Champion with Foxfire, Ahri gains bonus movement speed for 1 second. This bonus can stack up to 3 times.

Ahri's problem right now is that outside of Spirit Rush, she does not match other assassins in terms of mobility or safety. If it's because of Spirit Rush, then that's power-banking - putting too much power into one ability and forcing the rest to suck (like Katarina). Bad design. In order to fix this, I recommend that Ahri get a second mobility trick via Foxfire. But to prevent it from being used for map crossings, you have to hit an opponent for it to work. Helpful for when someone is chasing you, because right now, Ahri is a one-trick pony and too easy to punish.

If this is "OP", Riot, you are required to answer why. And if your answer is "Different Champions", then you're bullsh!tting us again.

I don't think this change would break her, but...

Being counted as a single target spell is pretty useful. Not impactful at the moment but at times when Rylai's and/or Spell Vamp were must-buys on mages it allowed her to stay on top in a meta where assassins weren't very powerful.

In this sense, foxfire already does give potential for the utility he's asking. Both Rylai's and spellvamp give full effect like you said, as well as applying furor enchantments. If you have Sheen/Lichbane for extra auto damage, you'll benefit from building furor even further.

Ahri already got a slight buff to her Q, Riot proved they want her to be a viable pick, but they aren't certain just how much she needs to get there, then stay there and they're always afraid of accidentally making another Kassadin.

She's perfectly balanced atm IMO i feel she's strong but def has weak points her playstyle feels strong if im ahead i can carry and if im behind im not useless.....

Yeah, Foxfire does not need a buff. It's actually pretty brutal - it's just that since Q hits more (and thus procs more health on passive) it gets prioritized.

Also, we do not need every skill to have some utility. Why is "homing magic nuke" not enough? Does everything need to have as many separate things its doing as Yasuo's kit?

Because for a "homing magic nuke", it's pretty sucky and has reliability issues. Too often you'll have some of the projectiles fly at the wrong target because they're too close to each other.

Actually, they're 120 degrees apart from each other. However yes, usually 1 of them does fly off to a random target due to it being at your 6, while the others sit at 2 and 10. Usually, since the 2nd and 3rd fires have such reduced damage this can be negligible, but we've all had that one kill that got away with 10hp.

With Ahri's W it's more frequent that you miss. That's why I feel it should have a utility add-on.

Add in that Ahri 100% relies on Spirit Rush, and you get a case of "power banking", much like Ashe's ult. Too much power is shunted into Ahri's ultimate, making the rest of her kit less valuable.

If you want to talk about champs that are barely little more than R bots, there are better examples: Yasuo, Malphite, Fiora, Karthus, Garen, etc. It's an incredibly long list that could keep going, Ahri can at least pick up kills with just E,DFG,Q+W. Spirit Rush will just help secure the dishonorable cowards that flee or tanks that think MR and HP works against her.

Except neither Yasuo nor Karthus are R bots and Malphite only if he's behind.

Lol, Yasuo isn't an ult bot? Even Riot admitted they screwed up by making his R.

Honestly I think if her charm just applied vision it'd make her all around better. it'd be a nice little boost to her kit since two of her abilities rely on line of sight to do any dmg. One of those abilities being her ult.... >_>

A minor buff, in my honest opinion. If you hit somebody in a bush, your passive will immediately tell you. At that point, they'll either be charmed out of the bush or vulnerable enough for you to just walk in yourself to finish them. Vision will only matter when scouting a bush and you've little idea which enemy you may've just charmed by chance. Even if you don't know or are too uncertain to follow in, a quick follow-up with Orb should make anyone re-question their strategy.

While it doesnt 'feel' impactfull, it definitly is impactfull. autotargeting with no cast time/animation whatsoever on a extremly low cd makes it her major dps tool and a perfect kiteing tool. Since ahrie is already a top-tier midlaner, adding utillity to her W would have to come with a nerf on another part of her kit.
