Smurfs everywhere! Why?

I've been playing a lot in just the past few months but in the last week I have encountered so many smurfs in my games compared to what it was before. Is this because the season is ending soon or is it because I'm just unlucky or something else?

games just bad because of dynamic que every other game for me is team being boosted apes/duo/threeman.
