You have 52 MR and Karthus has Void Staff, Morello's, AND Sorcerer's Shoes. Not only are you not building against him, he's building against you. He essentially does true damage at this point.
You're 31 minutes into the game. Karthus is level 16+ with a max rank ultimate, a completed build of 6 items (one being Rabadon's), and has been stacking Dark Harvest all game.
He has Eyeball Collection, Dark Harvest, and Last Stand. Not only is Dark Harvest stacked, he's going to hit harder with Last Stand and has somewhere in the ballpark of 600-850+ AP. Keep in mind, again, you have no magic resist at all.

I will never understand why people build 0 resistances and then complain when they get one shot.

Edit: Saw you just said there's no counterplay to Karthus' ult. If you can't stop him from casting it, buy one of the many items that grants Magic Resist or gives the ability to use Stasis, like Stopwatch, Zhonya's, or Banshee's Veil. You also have a Braum that can give you bonus MR.

Karthus isn't balanced, but he's a mage so dont try to complain about him on the Boards.

by this board's logic stopwatch is a legit counter to karthus but when someone mentions an assasin being overpowered somehow using stopwatch against a specific champ isn't balanced.

The counterplay is there, you not wanting to use it is no concern to us. Most shields and heals will save you from his ult if you aren't at double digit HP. There are plenty of abilities that make you immune to his ult. Heck a single hexdrinker does wonder against his ult due to the magic shield and extra MR you get.

Once again counterplay is there, you not wanting to use it is no concern to us

in order yo counter his ult you must not use zhonya in any other situation except when he ults you.

You know... people need some form of context as to what you are even talking about. Who is dealing this damage, what are their items, what items is the enemy building, etc etc etc. Saying "is dealing X amount of damage Y" is pretty pointless and meaningless without some context behind it
