Caitlyn VS Assassins

Was wondering if anyone had some advice. For some gosh awful reason (I bought a Chroma) I want to get good with Caitlyn. I feel like I understand her general play style, but dealing with assassins has been my biggest issue with her in particular for some reasons. I feel like I just get dived early and often enough By Zeds and Talons (etc...) that it's hard to reach this late game strength she is supposed to have. Most pf them know perfectly well Cait is relatively weak early game compared to most others. Been dragging a lot of different teams down trying to do things right.

I know everyone's gonna say to Save her E for escapes but I tend to have problems there too. Back line divers always seem to get the best of me. If I'm sandwiched between an assassin and the rest of the enemy team, which way am I supposed to go? At this rate I'm assuming I just don't have enough map awareness and/or ward coverage these times I get 100 to 0'd. Mechanically speaking (I know, I know, she's an easy champ in that respect), is there something I could be doing that would keep me safer and less prone to quick deaths?

Adc in general are counter by assassins. They are squishy glass cannons who for the most part die if they have no peel or protection

Theres also this. Killing the ADC is quite literally an assassin's job description.

That I can understand too. It's just Caitlyn in particular that I'm having trouble with lately. If feels like I have a much harder time with her (probably because I have a lot of recent games with her). Either way I can appreciate the advice and will take it to heart.

It was. I was simply reiterating that point.

Sounds to me like a ward problem, actually. If an assassin is getting behind you, you should be warding more often or at least when you think a team fight is going to start. Once you see a assassin making his way through the jungle just ping him and the team SHOULD respond to that. Worst case, run the other way and force him to cross through the lane and past your team to get to you.

But yea, make sure you're warding frequently and you're fine.

When getting tower dove...immediately trap infront/behind the tower where they won't be able to see it and attempt to kite them into it for free kills.

But your net REALLY helps, BUT don't use it early...wait for their engage to complete before using it to ensure the headshot and get that distance.

Zed = Also is easily countered by alot of other champs so if they pick a zed ask your team to pick something that counters.

Talon = Try to have a reserve pink (works for most stealths). That way you can just drop it for free defense.

Generallity. Pick up an Early (second rush purchase QSS) Although it doesn't help with Zed ult anymore it REALLY helps to not get CC lock down 100 - 0 which is the current meta (Yeah Season 3 again)

my advice if you are already using her E is to use the traps more effectively, i use them quite a bit, it can be a challenge to figure out the placement. what i like to do is stand almost on top of one so when they use their gap close to jump to me i pop them with a trap, headshot, net, headshot while i retreat.

this is usually enough damage to discourage further diving. versus zed and talon you really have to be hiding deep in the back and waiting till they burn their ults before you start laying down sniper fire.
