Pretty much yes. To me at least, I would love to know who is coming up down the line for updates and know who will be updated in what order over the next few years, but even if that was possible it would be really boring, especially if there is one champ I want updated and he is no where near the top of the list.
For some it might be enough for them to quit playing till they are updated (depending on how many people do the same, could end up being a huge hit to Riot).
Its a bit like those skin leaks that come out every so often (the ones that end up being true), they tell you all these different champs who are getting skins and while its nice to know, it means that there will be no surprises for skins for months. Pretty much everything is expected. Even worse is if they are skins for champs you don't care for, then it just ends up being a long slog through the skins for those months, waiting till the last leaked skin goes away so you can finally be surprised again.
In short, sometimes its better not to know the future. We really only need to know what immediate updates are coming and any more then that could end up feeling boring. I'd rather be surprised by Arcade Wukong then know it's coming for months and let my excitement die by the time its released.
