Is half the fun of about champion updates learning who is next down the line?

Considering that the champion update page consistently lists anywhere from 2 - 4 of the champions they are working on, I tend to check back up on it when news of the most recent update hits, so I can keep the hype train going by speculating about who is next in line.

In this case at that point and time, they haven't removed Xin despite his update having happened already, and Eve isn't live yet, but I like to check every now and then with hopes of seeing who is added to the rotation afterwards once she is.

If it helps, a new Champion Roadmap devblog by Reav3 should be out shortly after Evelynn's release and it's going to announce the next VGU after Swain as well as some other champion-related things (next new champ information, mini-reworks, etc) before the Champion Update Schedule page will.

So just keep an eye out on the Nexus homepage for more on these stuff too/instead, I say.

Pretty much yes. To me at least, I would love to know who is coming up down the line for updates and know who will be updated in what order over the next few years, but even if that was possible it would be really boring, especially if there is one champ I want updated and he is no where near the top of the list. For some it might be enough for them to quit playing till they are updated (depending on how many people do the same, could end up being a huge hit to Riot).

Its a bit like those skin leaks that come out every so often (the ones that end up being true), they tell you all these different champs who are getting skins and while its nice to know, it means that there will be no surprises for skins for months. Pretty much everything is expected. Even worse is if they are skins for champs you don't care for, then it just ends up being a long slog through the skins for those months, waiting till the last leaked skin goes away so you can finally be surprised again.

In short, sometimes its better not to know the future. We really only need to know what immediate updates are coming and any more then that could end up feeling boring. I'd rather be surprised by Arcade Wukong then know it's coming for months and let my excitement die by the time its released.

Definitely. I like what's coming next and it hypes me even more if it is a champion I seek for.

Hoping Reav3 announces the an extra VGU (so 2 VGUs after Swain) in the next roadmap, as their goal was to have the number of VGU's per year increase, although they did not state a date for when they'd like for this to be implemented.

I'll be honest, the only reason I'm interested in the Eve rework is because it means Swain is next. I'm predicting early next year :P

"Is half the dread about champion updates learning who is next down the line?" Yeah, I would say so. It's one thing to have the feeling it might happen, but knowing the champ is in line for an axe is another.

Reav3 said his next road map will be up soon after eve's release. So you will know who is up next for a VGU by then

Riot just doesn't care about updating their sites. Look at this lol: http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/champions/
