@Riot Undo the Yasuo Nerfs

"Yasuo was already on the cusp of being too powerful and midseason’s cost reductions to critical strike items just pushed him over the edge. We’re reducing the amount of pressure he exerts by sitting on Q stacks to give opponents more chances to play against him."

I told you months ago not to change the items and try to find a reason to nerf Yasuo once again. You can't possibly try to argue that a change of 300-400 gold is worth a 4 second nerf on a champion currently at a 50% win rate. You can't tell me your nerfing him because of item changes, but everyone else who benefitted from these changes isn't being touched. Where are the tryn nerf, the jhin nerfs, the Xayah nerfs, basically any ad champions using crit. You can't possibly think it okay to nerf one champion and no one else. You are literally giving into the butthurt of these boards constantly and nerfing Yasuo.

"But Yasuo has pressure in lane for ten seconds" so does fucking everyone else. Nearly all mid laners have pressure mid and have long range to zone out Yasuo and CC him into the ground. As for top, people are bringing adc top and are losing to Yasuo. You have to be shit top with any real top laner to lose to Yasuo. You have no justification on these nerfs. Yasuo was at a balanced winrate and mainly only doing well in low elos. You literally have nothing to gain from the nerfs other than making butthurt bronze players happy. Undo the nerfs.

The difference with yasuo is the passive, the idea behind the crit buff was to give ADC's acsess to it sonner. 50% crit adc has nothing on a 100% crit yasuo.

hewasnt nerf'd on the same patch because riot wanted to test to see if that effected him to drastically. it did it allowed him to snowball faster and reach that 2 item spike when behind faster. the crit buff basically sped up yasuo's entire gameplan by at least 2 kills worth of gold.

The item changes are a lie. They are nerfing Q so people who suck don't get beat down. As for speeding up his game, you really think 200-400 gold is a speed of game? on the most expensive items in the game? Don't kid yourself. Farming 400 gold in like nothing. They can revert the costs too for all i care. They are always trying to balance this game purely on long range ADC, Meddler even said so himself. That is his piss poor mind set.

Even with all that said, Yasuo was at a roughly 50% winrate, meaning balance. There are champions out there with 55+% win rates not being touched. You can't tell me he's bullying or getting any real benefit if Yasuo is losing half of his games.

In Short, they are nerfing his q tornado time which only affects how long you can hold it and nothing related to the damage or crit. This is all a lie to cover up the fact that noobs can't play against Yasuo and Riot are feeding the butthurt. He is still going to get his crit items at the same cost and will do the same damage.

Average win rates are a poor statistic to look at alone, and even then, no where states Yasuo has a 50% average win rate. For global win rates he's almost at 52%. 53% average in the top lane across all ranks. His win rate increases further as the experience with Yasuo increases, meaning on average he's already at or over 52% and becomes too strong when played well. A champion requiring practice doesn't mean it is allowed to stay excessively strong when someone practices it.

They rarely directly touch Yasuo, and he was about to have a skin released at the time the nerfs were on PBE (which is on PBE now), further deincentivizing nerfing him.

If he got nerfed that quickly, there was a problem.

They nerf Yasuo after every item change, I don't know where you got your facts from, but having played him for years, I can tell you EVERY TIME they change items, Yasuo is hit.

They only nerfed him because the boards were on another rampage with 60 posts about yasuo. Explain to me the problem with a champion at a 50% win rate.

Yeah, no, the anti-yasuo thing is always active. Yas is a toxic champ, and needs a looking at. Should be happy enough that he isn't in an Urgot, Kalista, or Azir type of state.

It happens a lot. They nerfed his E and R forcing people to build Q and now are hitting Q.

YEAH, NO. The anti-yasuo thing is from the butthurt low elo players. Yasuo is not a toxic champion and needs nothing looked at. He isn't in that state because Riot knows the shit storm they would get from yasuo players. Urgot is beign reworked. Kalista isn't even bad, and Riot has already addressed trying to workout Azir, but you can't have an ADC type mage who pumps out crazy damage in seconds. Mages are meant to be slow hitters, justifying their ability to kit someone into the ground.

Yes, he has nerfs, but not consistently nerf after nerf after nerf. They aren't out to get him or anything.

Yasuo is toxic, and on the same levels of those champs.

Op i dont think you understand why they nerfed that part. they dont want to touch the damage, they want to effect how fast he gets it. toning down his pressure in lane even slightly will slow down snowballing , this wont even effect his split push farming.

and also are you seriously trying to justify weakening an entire class of champions for the sake of 1? the hell kind of logic is that.

Oh no, I see what they are doing, once again bumping Yasuo down for long Range ADC. Meddler has said it himself in that they balance this game around ADC, not tanks, mages, melee adc, supports, but purely around long range ADC. THEY ARE NOT AFFECTING HOW FAST HE GETS HIS DAMAGE, they are nerfing his ability to be a solo carry and forcing him to be team reliant. That is a death sentence to a slayer class champion. This isn't slightly toning down, this is an up right outrages nerf. Toning down is giving him his 10 seconds as he levels the skill, not completely nerfing it to 6 seconds at all levels.

IDC about a whole class of champions. They have constantly been hitting Yasuo and it needs to end. ADC have been meta for ages and no ADC have struggled since the creation of the game because again they balance this game around the bot. Why was trynd not hit with a nerf? He just got a item buff too. So did Xayah, Jhin and all other ADC. Yasuo was at a 50% win rate and you're trying to argue any nerfs are justifiable?

  1. No, they buffed Adc's and indirectly buffed Yasuo who was already at 50% winrate overall

2)They are not balancing the game around ADC's, the ADC role as a whole was falling Apart due to the pace of the game. Remember bot lane ziggs? This is Healthy on all levels of gameplay making sure ADC's can stay in the game. #ADCin2k17lul

3)They are effecting how fast he gets his damage, cheaper items > faster power spikes > faster snowball

  1. Yasuo has always been somewhat team reliant. he can do his job himself but its always 3x times effective when you have a favorable comp

5)a nerf to yasuo ( and the smallest one possible at that) isnt going to be the death of the slayer class as a whole, that's just being melodramatic.

6)You lost all credibility with "IDC about a whole class of champions", this is by far the worst mentality to have when balancing a game

7)Tryn's winrate spiked by what .2% after the crit buff, Yasuo's spiked by 2% dont even kid yourself on this one.

  1. Of course jhin did. they said they wanted to buff every adc indirectly this it would be obvious that adc's winrates go up

  2. yes i can argue they are justifiable, he received power hat wasnt intended to be that significant. thus they removed some without touching the damage. this nerf is so tiny im calling it right now the only people to feel the difference will be us yasuo mains.

Yasuo was left in a stronger state after IE got its cost reduced. And PD is a stupidly cheap item already, despite having no reason to be so other than "it's a zeal item".

And like others here have said, cheaper items mean power spikes come sooner. Yasuo's core build is cheap enough as is, and thus, he had to be hit somewhere. Just be glad he got away with that minor Q nerf and not something worse.
