Can tabbing in and out during loading screen be actually possible?
It's been broken ever since I started playing LoL a couple of years ago, and I really thought that the alpha client would do something about it.

Sounds like a personal problem, I've had no problem with alt tabbing on loading.
I do it all the time, I think the problem is more windows than anything else
step 1. wait for the champion images to show up
step 2. alt tab, but might not work if you don't have anything else open. If you don't then hold alt tab and click on a desktop application or something
If this doesn't work try "windows key + D" to force it to show your desktop.
If youre on mac I don't know if you have that or not but fuck mac lol
