Riot, could you please realize that Gold and plat are two different ranks?
Can Gold play with silver and lower?
I do not want to see Gold players in my high plat ranked matches.
It is frustrating to watch them feed out of their mind going vs p1+ players.
If they are good enough, they will climb Into Platinum with their free promos.
muted team chat2 votesThey have a similar MMR to you. Pretty obvious.
Rykagnar1 votesThey would have to do this with every single division in order to keep it fair. It wouldn't make sense. A Gold 5 player is more than likely the same skill level as a Silver 1 player, hence why they are placed together in matches. It's the same with each division. Gold 1, Plat 5 - Plat 1, Diamond 5. This would make queue times skyrocket and it wouldn't be healthy for the game.
Eedat1 votesWell it depends. Should a G1 player get matched with P5 players? Yeah. Should a G5 player get matched with P1 players? No.
