Its actually turned into somewhat of a thing. Due to his attack speed passive being guaranteed against jungle camps (As well as being able to kite them out), he has a decent clear, and considering he can realistically obtain double buffs very quickly, he can cheese a lot of ganks early on

Edit: Strangely enough, it seems to have a higher success rate than playing him as an ADC at the moment. Here's the Jungle Statistics compared to his statistics as an Adc

it is because of two reasons:

As jungle Ezreal you don't need to build Tear. This item fucks up your early game and as jungle Ez you can just forget it at all, and instead go directly for Triforce/Warrior.
Ezreal was never actually weak, it is just that by playing him ADC you are holding your team back because an hypercarry ADC is a must nowadays. It is like playing Pantheon as an ADC, if Pantheon ADC was meta instead of Pantheon top, people would never discover that Pantheon is a strong champion because they would play him ADC and lose. By going top instead, Pantheon can show his full potential. The same applies to Ezreal, which at jungle can now show its full potential.

Don't forget how strong he is with double buffs early and the ease at which he can apply red buff to the enemy. His clear is also one of, if not the fastest right now when done right and you can level 3 gank very quickly for what will almost always amount to a kill or flash depending on where the enemy is in lane.

Maybe I'm just playing too much with bronze lords but I've found Ezreal jungle even less reliable than bottom for the opposite reason. I have enough damage/mana either way, the problem is I don't have enough disables to hold the enemy carries at bay, regardless of who they are. So, they end up devouring my team and I'm stuck in hopelessly outnumbered situations. Now, if I pick jungle Teemo on the other hand, I have access to a Blind from my Q that shuts down one of many ADCs for a moment.

Most things start as gimmicks because it worked once in pro play or something, so there is some truth in what he's saying (e.g, people picking MF support into Thresh and proceeding to get dumpstered and never figuring out why).

That said there are some that turn out like you say; Ezreal jungle is one of them

its viable in the ways graves/kindred were, always full hp when you clear camps and your speed is faster than most other junglers which let you invade and counter jungle and gank more often.

I'd actually be pretty happy if Ezreal moved more into the Jungle and less into ADC. Think about it- he's an Explorer. ADCs after a certain point won't dare step up to a bush or walk around the map- Junglers are made for that shiz.

In theory, yes - but Eze JGL usually ruins the Teamcomp and therefore the Lategame.

I tried it now multiple times and while being a decent Eze-player that never worked out in the end. I'm usually able to grant my team an early lead - but as always people in gold (where I'm playing right now.. unfortunately) drag out games when they think they're ahead - greed for kills adn die, ignore objectives despite my ping and in the end flame me for picking Eze and loosing those Teamfights against Seju, Malph and firends....

Quite boring to be honest.

It´s like a even higher risk/reward nidalee.

His red buff ganks are strong and early damage is good too, and with blue buff he won't constantly run outa mana so the koreans who have a hard on for early aggression are into it.

But if he doesn't snowball then he´s really weak, just another squishy carry with 0 utility......and kinda average damage. So the idea is the same as when playing against nida, avoid being cheesed early and punish him later.

For if snowball happens then there will be a lot of misery.

way i been playing it is, rush warrior into triforce and then either get botrk if they got tanks and your team doesnt lack some beef, or a frozen mallet if they got annoying champions that you need to kite/add some beef to your team. then ill go with a visage if they got heavy ap or a thornmail if they got heavy ad and prob finish up with a ga or lord dominics if they got a lot of armor.

so i play him as a bruiser more than an adc normally nets me around 330+ ad 120 of each res and 3300-3600 hp. with 40% cdr.

Most high elo just go standard warrior triforce botrk lord dom and duskblade i think.

If you aren't already experienced at both Ezreal and jungling, don't.

The thing that makes Ezreal jungle a thing is his passive, which gives him a 50% attack speed steroid at level one. There are very few effects that can give that much attack speed at early levels, and all of them have a catch (low duration, limited attacks, etc).

Because of the AS, you have incredible clear times. Because you are ranged, you can kite the camps for a healthy clear. This means that you can do a fast clear on your half of the jungle and then go to the enemy's second buff. Keep up this early pressure and snowball into a win before you fall off.

Ezreal is normally decent late game, but not in this case, because Ezreal jungle doesn't get tear. Getting a tear early enough for it to matter late game means that you are giving up on the combat stats you need to successfully gank or fight the enemy jungler.

worst part is, all the ezreal jgs on enemy team are either meh but even, or super good. meanwhile the ezreal jgs you get are FUCKING GARBAGE FEEDERS or, AJKHASLKDJHD KSERS. :)

I've played it once or twice and seen it plenty and honestly in low-mid elo it's pretty good actually. His clearing is surprisingly good and his early ganks can be disgusting. You just have to be semi-good at clearing by kiting and gank a lot early. I've also found it to be pretty effective at tilting people on the enemy team, if ever so slightly.

Jungle Ezreal was a thing since Season 4 when new Jungle items started popping up. It's a cheese strat more than anything due to his mid game being so-so and late game being quite horrendous due to sacrificing a tanky Jungler.

It's a thing.

His passive attack speed gives him good enough clear that he can actually meet the enemy jungler at their second buff, often able to force them off it or kill them outright.

Yeah it has actually been a thing on and off since season 3 when he would use spirit of the elder lizard to cheese the heck out of everything. Sadly people started building it in lane which started the ever so annoying blue build ezreal that has plagued us to this day.

Ezreal Jungle is OP these days in early beter then in his ADC days , I was Vi where I can 1 vs 1 anyone , but he killed me , could't reach him because of his mobility and stuff , but unfortunately , everytime I play against Ezreal jungle , my team loses , but everytime Ezreal jg is in my team , I also lose , lmao .
