Is zyra viable?

im trying to pick her up but it feels like she sucks really really bad compared to any other mid laner

Her ult being 130 seconds and she doesnt build any cdr until mid-late game kinda feels horrible

she isnt good mid at the current meta but is a good counter pick to certain match ups / team comps.

she is a great counter pick support for teams that have hard engage teams comps. lane match ups she is good vs Braum Alistar Leona Thresh due to her spamable damage and cc and her ult for disengage from dives and all ins

she has a high base damage so as a support she has some really strong damage going item 3092 item 3116 item 3151 item 2045 item 3158 item 3060

ok well.... like i said SHE ISNT GOOD MID AT THE CURRENT META BUT IS GOD COUNTER PICK TO CERTAIN MATCH UPS/TEAM COMPS

meaning if you use her as a counter pick then she would be ok to flat out pick her and expect "faceroll" as zyra vs anything is gonna be hard.

one of the issues she has mid lane is she has horrible movement speed. a friend of mine use to main her back s3/s4 and he was high gold. what he did for her was run ms quints magic pen reds, armor yellow. and cdr blues

see if that helps but to blindly pick her and go mid due to the champs who are strong in mid now she would be at a disvantage but if you learn what champs she can counter and used as a counter pick you should be ok

shes oppressive and OP, but imo shes better support than mid

Because Zyra is a support. Mid is an off-role for her, good for picking into specific opponents.

no support zyra came about due to meta shifts in mid where she lost the match ups she was good at. she use to be a control mage with zoning potential.

Whenever I take Zyra mid, I always run ghost + flash, unless cleanse is required. She's very squishy so you need to play carefully. Magic penetration is your friend.
