Remove the ability to script Cassiopeia's E (and every champ for that matter)

I've recently encountered a player who was scripting Cassiopeia twin fang. Those of you who don't know, it's where there there is 0 delay on the cast time for her twin fang. There's the reset timer then an immediate cast on twin fang without human input. The result is an incredibly fast cast on her twin fang, much more so than you could do without it. After doing a test myself, within the 3 seconds my target was poisoned, I could hit twin fang 6 times (which is expected on a .5 second static cd reset). In game, this person was hitting 8-10 times in 3 seconds as well as defying the range on twin fang. That's pretty significant.

There are other champs that also have scripting associated with them, but I don't know what those are.

tl;dr, scripting is ruining games, please fix it.

Remove the ability to script in a game? Haha you obviously don't know the first thing about programming. They will never be able to %100 stop cheating. Even if they scanned your computer before you played people would find away around it. They ban players and update their offsets and that's the best that can happen right now.

I don't know anything about programming is a true statement, but saying that there isn't a way to prevent people from scripting is asinine in and of itself.

Every game can be hacked, just look at counter strike which has been out for almost 15 years and still cant stop the hackers. Its like all security, if it can be read then it can be modified and your mem can be read so scripting wont stop.

Would riot be able to enable a security measure that would not allow any adjustments to the game itself? Say if someone added a script that would give them an unfair advantage, the patch system would patch it out automatically and it would flag their account.

The only true way to stop hacking would be to grant full access of your computer to riot so they can completely scan your computer numerous times through out you playing their game. I know with scripting a user will have abnormally high traffic to the server because the script is calling for an update on everyone's position constantly but its probably not high enough to differentiate a bad connection thats spamming connection requests. Its just a hard thing to counter.

Removing the ability to animation cancel wouldn't stop scripts that auto-aim or auto-dodge skillshots, but it WOULD stop scripts that unload combos at inhuman speeds.

It would slow them down yes but it still would output skills faster than a human can and more precise. But that is a fundamental in the game, animation cancel, and would devastate alot of high elo players if they removed it.

I've bumped into someone using scripts on Ryze before.

The speed it runs through his combo is nothing short of disgusting.

I'm not totally certain, but I suspect these scripts work by using movement to break the cast animations perfectly and then cast again. If Riot fixed this exploit and made it so you can't animation cancel, it would end the scripting issues as well.

So Riven?

That wouldn't hurt my feelings too much

Animation cancel is a fundamental part of this game on so many many levels, and one of the most intense expression of skill ( mostly muscolar one).

This does not impact only champions that are affected in a very incisive way like Riven, but the whole champion pool overall.
