Help with Vladimir

I used to play him before his rework and while he's never been the bursty type. How in the hell do you get him to actually be viable and deal enough damage? Players latterly can just run away and heal up from him. If he builds full Hp he can't kill anything. If he builds full AP he might be able to kills someone if they stay around for a 20 second fight. On the other hand they can kill him in under 7 so.... How do you build and play Vladimir exactly. I just don't seem to understand. I can cs and hold lane but never win it unless the enemy laner roams.

Damage nerfs are coming in across the board next patch. it will help put some oompf back in Vlad because he will have a bit more sustain.

I run Ghost Ignite for summoners, poke them with your empowered Q for big damage, try to zone then from minions by Qing them and standing near minions to deny farm, if they walk up start charging your E and they'll other walk away or take free damage

When you've finally gotten them low it's all in, ghost in when you have your empowered Q, then

ult on them, Q, charge E and sink onto your blood pool to avoid any CC, since you have ghost they won't get out of your range without flash which has a much longer cooldown, get another Q off and ignite for good measures, usually how it goes for me

he's not really a burst mage which sucks but he's still kinda viable

I know he's not a burst mage, but even so the fact is everyone can tell when your Q is empowered and simply wait it out. Even full ap he really can't fight well. If a champion requires hexitex items for more damage something is wrong

Vladimir was my full best #1 main, the champ i had most success on, my strongest, now he doesn't even fucking work and even I can't get him working... like wtf mate?
