Why do you alternate me between teammates that know how to play and teammates that don't?
I'm genuinely curious. All it does is make me want to promote just how bad you are to your workers and otherwise frustrates me to the point I don't care for financially supporting you, if you can't even invest in a decent matchmaking system of all things. You know how I know it's not that great? Because I've played DotA2. I've played DotA2 a lot. I've played DotA2 for 1,107 hours currently and my MMR is exactly 947. I'm awful... but so is my team, so are my opponents, and... oh, did I mention that I'm awful too? I need to make that part very clear, because I can guarantee you that, when it comes to League, I do not belong anywhere near the same rank as the 2/8/7 Xayah, the 1/6/3 Sylas, the 2/5/3 AFK Vayne, the 2/8/4 Darius, or any number of people who have severely fucked up my last couple matches single-handedly.
When it comes to the difference between how LoL and DotA2 play, at a matchmaking level, I can clearly see how me and the opponents commonly make the exact same mistakes when it comes to our performance. All I see when I play League is my performance remaining relatively similar and devoid of the mistakes they make (especially on a mechanical level) and my teammates drastically fluctuating between decent and poor at random. It isn't satisfying, and it isn't fun.
I don't mean to say I'm the best, but if the people in Silver don't know what Sivir's W does and I do, and if I know how to roam to Mid and kill Ahri twice to get my worthless Mid back into the game (when he just dumpsters the lead by diving her under her tower, go figure) and my enemy doesn't, I should be rewarded. So far, you aren't doing that: you're maybe going to reward me for... um... putting a quarter into the slot-machine? Hmm. I wonder what made LoL popular in the first place... because it certainly wasn't gambling.
